This should be an easy choice. It is the in September and we are playing a beatable opponent. Wish it was Raiders or Chiefs but non season ticket holders wont have to spend too much as a Cowboys game. Anyone want to split room at the VQ, I will stay there. If not, I am Priceline man. I am good for Saturday and Sunday night. Friday night will be with my cousin in Fort Collins.

Sassy
04-14-2009, 09:32 PM
Good deal John!
You won't need to "use" H and I for Parking! LOL!
Reserve your room...you can always cancel it.
Prices go up as soon as they figure out the schedule has been released.

On the VQ website...

Wow~ I knew it! Less than 24 hours later it's been raised to $124!
That's why we get our room as soon as the schedule comes out! They do that every year!!Booya! I just saved us $100!

Last year we reserved two weekends in September before the schedule came out. You can cancel up to 24 hours before the day you showup and it doesn't cost a thing...

Yeah...but Hogan and I also take into consideration that we don't have to rent a car, can ride for free downtown and walk to the game. So it's cheaper...most of the time....to go for location.

If you don't rent a car I am assuming you take the shuttle to/from the airport?
If so,How much does that run?

Sassy
04-16-2009, 09:11 AM
$19 each way on SuperShuttle

http://www.supershuttle.com/FareQuote.aspx?content=Rates

Which considering how far DIA is away isn't bad.

The hotel shuttle runs until around 10 pm.
But taking a cab from there or back to the hotel usually runs around $7-$8 so it's pretty cheap.

Denver is a little harder to do that.
John had season tickets and a bunch in a group in Diego.
We really don't have that option at Invesco unless
we know someone like that.

I'm down this year. Going to need a tailgate location though. I ended up settling with RTD just last week. It was a tough battle but in the end they proved to me they really wanted my property and made me an acceptable deal.

Thanks to those of you who helped in the effort.

Look forward to seeing you guys again. Oh if any of you locals see some dirt around the stadium for sale let me know. I'm back in the market!

I may just wait awhile since this market really sucks. Eventually Lot C is going to be subdivided so I may go after a chunk of that.

That might work. I'll ask raidersuck to scope it out during preseason.

Sassy trust me I never thought I'd be able to part with that spot either but with the state of the economy as it is I have a good chance to find a replacement and do some other things as well.

The funny thing is when I set out to find a place that day I was just looking for a little hole in the wall I could convert into a watering hole for Broncos fans. It got a bit more complicated. Usually does with me. lol

I'm still speculating on whether I'd like to go to this game or not, or any Bronco game this year for that matter.
I'm not too enthusiastic about this year, and I'm already considering going to an OU Sooners home game this year. I'll probably only get to do one, and I'd prefer to see a Championship caliber team play in the Sooners than the Broncos this year.

Honestly though, I'm just graduating from college, moving to Houston, job uncertainty, have student loans to pay off, I don't have the money to make a trip to Colorado.
Plane ticket would be around $200, and since my mom is moving from Colorado, hotel would be roughly $50-$75 for one night. Then factor in the cost of one ticket, and thats another $70ish. I just don't have that money to spend right now, as I want to pay off my loans quickly while also being able to save up some money.

Well that is true, if I had to pick between going to a Bronco game or a Sooners game, I'd pick the Sooners. I'm graduating from OU, sit near Sam Bradford in one of my classes and went to all the home games last year.
Go ahead and say I'm not a true Bronco fan if I would rather watch my college team compete for a national championship than the Broncos try to beat the lowly Browns. lol :D
But realistically, I won't be able to go to any game unless its deemed a gift from the parents, which would be sweet.

Only questioning your "true fan" as your statement, as mentioned by Nut, states no money issues. It sounded like you were a Chargers fan by being a bandwagoner. It was better to just mention money issues to start because you should know we would tear you apart. On that note, I dont miss "Can't miss games" regardless of supposed record. This is at the beg. of the season where everyone is still in it and fans are loud, OMane weekend brings friends together for at least one weekend a year and it is the Broncos for god sake. I dont need win-loss record to spoil my fun.

True, I should've stated that earlier. I've had the luxury in the past of having other people pay my way since I was in school, but they won't this year from the sounds of things lol.

See, I would've been more inclined to coming to the opener if it was against a better opponent. Seeing Dallas play would've been fun. The Browns? Yuck. I like to see quality opponents or division rivals.
And I have had been to the home opener every year for the past 5-6 years now, but its going to be harder now that I'm done with school and will have a real job haha.

1. I don't have a job yet, so there is no sure thing of a steady cash flow
2. Student loan isn't bubcus because I do want to pay that off sooner rather than later so I won't have to live with my dad very long.
3. That just made me remember, I owe my mom and dad some money lol and I need to give them it since they are both sort of having a rough time right now, especially my mom.

If it were a different team, like Dallas, San Diego, Oakland, KC, Pats, I'd be more inclined to go because I enjoy watching rival games and seeing some good football played. I have little interest in seeing who the Brownies trot out at QB and see their pathetic excuse of a team.

Telluride/Ouray are probably about a 6 hour drive from Denver. It depends on traffic in the mountains as well. Sometimes it takes a helicopter to pass the slow moving trucks/campers/motorhomes.

I have no idea. It does seem strange that they'd be at Red Rocks at this stage of the game. Not to hijack the thread or anything but I would love to see that band in a club setting. New Miserable Experience is a 5 star album and one of the Top 10 releases from the 1990's IMHO.

Hey All I have a total of 4 tickets left for this game. Two sets of two. One set is in 512 and the other are in 515 both have a face of $58 and would never charge a Bronco fan a dollar over face. Let me know if you want them ASAP and I can send them to you tomorrow. Call or text me on my cell (269)903-1309.
Thanks.

I'm all over the place here, VQ emailed saying they have lowered the rates.

So I switched over, my dream has come true.

I thought your dream was a room by a road with horrible beds? Knights Inn has lost you but can you ever go back? What was the rate for each night?

Sassy,
please do not send this in until a few days. I wouldnt want my reservation being bumped off which can be done according to easyclicktravel.com. I figure, let the new orders get approved then beatch. If they reject ours, then they can tell you no one got that deal. Plus, I wouldnt want mine to be voided. Pleeeeeeeeease!

Yes, i sent my clicktravel request for the VQ at $51 (TY ADAM!) and it hasnt been rejected or fulfilled so I am in limbo right now. At $51, they pick u up from the airport and you get a guaranteed parking spot (if I decide to get a car). On priceline, I would need a car and get a nice hotel on Quebec for $35 to $40 Plus their fees. Better deal is the VQ. I will be in on Friday and probably head up to Black Hills/Central City or visit my family in Nunn/Wilington area.

I guess not as I thought they still did it like the Red Lion. Maybe getting a car isnt a bad idea or someone put a link up for shuttles. $50 seems expensive and not sure how nice it can be unless they stop at a brewery. Hilarious!

Very sorry to hear that Man, it was cool having you around last year. Hopefully, things will heal up/get better and we'll catch you in 2010.

I have the feeling that the ranks are gonna be thinned this year for a variety of reasons. Not to an away game type of status or anything like that, but a bit below the usual turnout for sure :(.

we havent heard from Ludo yet. He had the grill when he drove out from school in Kansas. I loaded him up with the extras. Did Meck lose his lot to use this year? I thought he saved all but a sliver near the sidewalk. If so, where are we putting up shelter? Maybe Meck is bringing the bus. Like Craw said, only a few weeks away.

No don't have the lot anymore. There was a debate at the end to keep a sliver but they ended up making an offer on the whole thing that I accepted. Personally I think Lot M is the way to go. Cheaper, easier for people to get a space to park near the tailgate, less BS etc. When lot C fills up it fills up fast. Not to mention if people are bringing different stuff much easier to park near eachother than hauling stuff.
