Got my room, pretty expensive, I have stayed there before and can walk to the game, so I don't care, especially if it's my only game this year. Just need tickets now.

If I'm working in Indy which I think I will be, I'll be a definite for the tailgate along w/ the RV for the big party. I won't be going to the game as Cincy fans are the biggest assholes I've ever met. I went to the Cincy game about 4 years ago and came as close to a fight w/ some fans as I ever have. I swore I'd never go to a Cincy game again and I aim to keep my promise. However... If a Bronco fan can come up w/ an excellent tailgate lot, I'll be there for the party. I'll watch the game on my dish. :welcome:

Vols host UCLA on Saturday...stopping in Cincy on the way home for this one seems like a mighty fine idea.

Absolutely. Its weird how people can go to the same place and have a totally different experience. I was at the Bills game a couple of years ago and had no issues w/ the fans except for the occasional A-hole which is expected. I know a lot of Bronco fans were pretty upset about how they were treated. I will say this about the Cincy game. I had a real bad attitude before I went to the game and thats probably why things went the way they did. Hope to see everyone there.

I agree Cincy fans are the worst, but that will not persuade from going. I have not really had problems in the parking lots except for the normal razing, but in the stadium, if the Broncos are winning, Cincy fans turn ugly.

IBOAB, I am staying at the Holiday Inn in Kentucky (see previous post) it's $125 a night, but like I said it's in walking distance of the stadium and they have a shuttle that you can take. So for me it's worth it.

I went to the first game of the season there a couple of years ago and Covington, KY was actually having an Octoberfest going on in September so we walked to that Saturday night.

I am looking for 2 tickets if anyone wants to get them together.

Ugh, god! (Where's Houghtam??)
I love it too, but I found that if you drink 8-10 beers there, you don't get up so well the next morning for the Broncos game!!! Also, the beer "inspires" you do weird **** like jump from moving vehicles - chase hot pieces of Tex-ass ... probably the best night I ever had, that I don't remember!:yayaya:

I'm "looking" at this game ... not a very long drive there - from Pittsburgh!

There are quite a few tailgate lots near the stadium. One directly north of it and a bunch of them west of the stadium under the bridges from what I recall. I was out there for the MNF game a few years ago. That was painful and the Cincy fans gave us everything we deserved. A bunch of ****!

Dendave

I have been to Cincy about 10 times or so and have never had a problem with finding a place to tailgate. Here is one review

<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD class=title2 colSpan=3>TAILGATING</TD></TR><TR><TD class=fan_comments colSpan=3>"Until recently, tailgating was the only reason to go to the stadium." With parking near the stadium "pricey and limited to season-pass holders," the tailgating scene "covers about a square mile" in "many far-flung locations." Dispersed from "absolutely phenomenal" Longworth Hall -- an old railroad building about twice the length of the stadium -- to a "huge parking lot next to a gravel pit," Bengals tailgating is "a mix between Halloween, Christmas and New Year's Eve." "People have ambulances painted orange and black," grills are cooking "classic Midwestern fare (brats, burgers, chili, etc.)" and "lots of alcohol" is around. Games of parking lot football abound, as do games of cornhole, "a bean bag toss game similar to horseshoes named as such because the bean bags are filled with corn." "The festive atmosphere" stretching "a mile in both directions along the river" has gained a following so "intense" that Bengals wide receiver "Chad Johnson himself has even walked about the tailgates for the experience." </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/football/nfl/10/26/fvi.bengals/

With that said I sure we have enough experienced tailgaters to figure it out. Here's a map from the whodey website of where they tailgate.

No, the game I went to was in September in 2003. It was on a Sunday afternoon. Went there w/ Bum Jr. and one of my best friends and his sons.
Fricking disaster. Dropped them off 45 minutes before the game at the stadium and spent the next 1 1/2 hrs. looking for a parking spot. I was sent on at least 3 wild goose chases by the police and other parking attendants. So needless to say I didn't walk into the game untill the second quarter. Yes, I was extremely pissed. So pissed in fact I started to act like a total asshole but by this time I had had too many beers.(Yes, I was drinkin while looking for a spot to park) and hated Cincinnati proper and all their ****ty fans and didn't care. (Can you feel the bitterness creeping into this post, My Gosh, I still get pissed thinking about it 6 yrs. later). I probably got what I deserved but I still hate that ****ing town. At least we kicked their assess good and proper.

Florence is about 20-30 minutes from the stadium depending on traffic. There is a small shopping mall in florence near that hotel though. The golf course there is OK, but its great if its free.

Going to have to miss this one unfortuantely. First DEN CIN tilt I have missed in years. And Bum, I remember that game. The fans were real ugly that day. That was Jake's first game for DEN and he played like ****, Ian Gold got a pick Six on CIN's second drive, and DEN beat their ass Good. Went with Faderproof and a couple other Maners who have dropped off posting here.

I'm a little Pissed off today as I just got back to Indy from a weekend home and my RV got broken into. I live in it during the week while I'm at work. Most of the larger tailgating lots allow RVs

Longworth would be a good choice since its a large lot and about a quarter mile or as I like to put it a beer and a half walk to the stadium.

Disclaimer.
Parking in Longworth will put you right in the middle of enemy lines
but your not a division rival so you should have a great time.

well most of the cinci hotels are in the 5/6th street - elm/vine areas so we should try to stay on that side so people can walk (less than 10 min to stadium walk)

If we go on the other side, it woul dbe a pretty hefty walk or people would be forced to pay to park.

The convention center lot looks about right.....but i dont know if they allow RV parking. Unfortunately most of the parking in cinci is garages.....very few surface lots.

I understand your point about the walk...I am walking from Kentucky...I have tailgated in lot E it's down by the river, we had to get there early though. Lots B, C & D I believe are surface lots, not garages and I think Lot 1 was the Longworth you referred to earlier. Anyway, I figured I would post the map and you can say "we are in Lot xyz" and than everyone would have some sense of where they are going.

I am now staying at the radisson right over in KY too. Should be a fun time.

Check out the Hofbrauhaus if you like beer.

Zola's if you like burgers.
Located in Covington’s Mainstrauss entertainment district, Zola Pub and Grill is one of the many hole-in-the-wall bars and restaurants that line Main Street between 6th and 7th Streets. When you first walk in, it looks generally like every other watering hole within shouting distance: a long bar stretches the length of the room, topped by several taps and a touch-screen gaming machine. The rest of the room is crowded with 4-top tables, which hints at the real reason patrons frequent the otherwise unremarkable interior.

If sophistication is your thing, Zola doesn’t really have it. With five or so watery domestics on tap and an unimpressive bottled selection, no one is calling this a beer mecca. On my most recent visit, I sat outside at a table on the front sidewalk, and my Guinness was served in a 16oz plastic water cup (no, not even a stiff plastic keg cup.) I would write this off as a fluke, or some part of the more restrictive ordinances on the neighborhood for outdoor dining, but alas this is my second visit in a row during which I was served in a plastic cup. In my book, that’s a trend. At 7pm on a weeknight, there’s no excuse to not serve beer in a proper glass, folks.

The staff are all perfectly nice, but no one’s winning the Waitress of the Year award, if you know what I mean. The interior is clean, but most of the tables have a significant wobble and I’ve seen chairs with more padding in prison. All of this I can easily forgive, if the burgers are good. And my god, the burgers are good.

If there’s one thing that Zola knows how to do well, it’s cook a burger. It comes perfectly cooked to order, every time. The toppings are fresh and plentiful. The bun is toasted. The patty itself is neither greasy nor dry, and is well seasoned. They don’t boast on the grade or the quality of their beef, but it certainly tastes high dollar. The menu prices are fair ($6), with unlimited toppings on Wednesday nights. The fries are thick cut and tasty.

If you’re looking for arguably the best burger in Cincinnati, you owe it to yourself to give Zola a try. Just bring your own glass.

And comedy club in newport on the levee (walking distance) is usually pretty good.

There is no federal limit on the amount of alcohol a traveler may import into the U.S. for personal use, however, large quantities might raise the suspicion that the importation is for commercial purposes, and a CBP officer could require the importer to obtain an TTB import license (which is required for all commercial importations) before releasing it. If you do intend to travel with a large quantity of alcohol, we suggest you contact the entry branch of the port you will be entering the country through to discuss your situation in advance.

Duty rates on alcoholic beverages can be obtained in Chapter 22, "Beverages, Spirits and Vinegar," in the Harmonized Tariff Schedule. Alcoholic beverages purchased in duty-free shops are subject to duty when you bring them with you into the United States.

I emailed this dude about parking http://www.bnbbengalbus.com/ here is his response

You guys sound just like us, and are welcome to tailgate with the BNB Bus in
Parking lot "E" between the river and the stadium. However, the Bengals control
the parking lots and you would need to contact them to get into our lot. Our lot is
usually where all the busses and Rv's park. I don't believe you can get in this lot the

hey bum, do you still have a tv? or should i bring mine?

Mine is pretty small as you know(were talking TV's here remember?) If you have a nice sized flat screen we could hang up on the side of the RV that would be great! I'll have about 6 chairs and a 4' table. We'll need more chairs and some tables from other people. I'll also have 1 cooler, more would be nice. I've got the pole and flag handled.

1. Burgers (and cheese)
2. Hot dogs (hebrew national)
3. Italian Sausage (Dirussos) I will try to have green pepper, onion and marinara but no promises.
4. bbq, sweet and sour, and spicy mustard meatballs
5. Buffalo Chicken Dip/tortillas

Plates, Bowls, Napkins, Untensils, condiments (ketchup, mustard, cleveland's famous stadium mustard, relish, salt and pepper) will all be provided.

Coke, Cherry Coke, Sprite, and water will also be provided.

BYOB!!!!!!!!!!

(though i do have 100 disposible shot glasses haha)

I will have 2 or 3 tables and 2 coolers......one for the food one for the beverages. Once i pull the food out, your more than welcome to keep your beverages in there.

Thinking about bringing a 5 gallon cooler full of "Orange Kool-aid" as a tribute to the OM board but that will be a last minute thing.

I will also have chafing dishes to keep stuff warm/cold so if you want to bring anything thats cool too. But I will have more than enough for everyone.

I don't know about the ticket situation, but it is true, Cincy fans are by far the worse fans I have ever seen, with that said, just ignore them, and let it go in one ear and out the other. Eventually someone else will notice and report them. Just don't bring attention to yourself and you'll be fine. Wear colors by all means, just don't antagonize them, they don't like that, their team has been bad for awhile so they need to vent and what better way than to get to you.

With fewer than 24 hours to go until the deadline for selling all non-premium seats at Paul Brown Stadium in advance of Sunday's game against the Broncos, roughly 5,000 tickets remain unsold, according to Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer.

And this means that the game could be blacked out locally.

Typically, extensions of the 72-hour window are made available by the league office, usually if there's a clear indication that the tickets will be sold. In some cases, the local television network slated to televise the game will bite the bullet and buy the tickets.

The Bengals, despite a chronic history of ineptitude, have sold out every home game since 2003, 44 straight non-blackouts.

My suggestions for parking a RV or car, would be to go to the Hilltop Concrete facility that is on Mehring Way next to where we park in the Lot E it is a pay as you go lot...also Longworth Hall which is under the I-75 bridges on Pete Rose Way, which is near Mehring Way, and there is another lot on Mehring Way across the street from the Hilltop location, the Duke Energy lot. Now to get a spot you need to get to any of them early, dont know the cost of either of these lots...also there is another lot where Pete Rose Way intersects with Mehring Way, near Longworth Hall, actually it is at one end of Longworth Hall building and lots.

We pay 91 bucks per game to park our bus in Lot E....

Parking lots stretch for blocks along the Ohio River between Paul Brown Stadium and the Great American Ball Park. Still, when it came to finding a spot to park our 38 foot motorhome, our options were limited, at best.

Luckily, some Bengals fans on the message boards had tipped us off to the lot at Longworth Hall. Their spots, unlike the ones around the stadium, were not reserved. AND, they would allow oversized vehicles.

The downside -- the lot is located more than 1/4 mile away (without a view of the stadium) and they were charging $200 to park an RV!

in that general area, can't remeber if the freeway is west or east of it
it's either the lot with the 1 or the 3, but I don't think it is listed on this map with an orange dot. the dude also said to be there before 10 cause it fills up early

I will never get a jersey with a players name on it, if fact I was against getting this one, but my mother in law "tricked" me and asked if I did have a jersey what number and name, I told her 97 (I went to high school with Mike Lodish, also, year of 1st SB win) and Dendave...that xmas, guess what I got

OK, I'm real frustrated here. I've uploaded some of my pics in as small a file as I can to get under the 197 KB limit. When they load they are small. Now I'm uploading my entire file to photobucket and it is taking FOREVER. There has to be a better way. Also my camera takes movie files in avi format. How do I convert them into a format that can be posted on a forum? Sorry, I don't do this enough to remember.

Jay Cutler burned bridges in Denver with teammates and fans and after watching his four interceptions against the Packers it is a friendly reminder of Cutler's incosistent play... May Cutler continue to throw interceptions every week for the Bears.... Cutler's memory in Denver has evaporated as you can see below...

I'm giving up for the time being. Can't get photobucket to work right, hell, I can't even get pictures to upload using the tool w/ post. F'ing sucks, I've wasted about 3 hours trying to upload pics and can't get anything to work right..:cuss: Heck, I can't even get this page to load half the time. I'll work on it this weekend when I'm home and have a better connection.
