As I look at this draft I would not swap with the lions 1 for 12 straight up. The giant contract coupled with the player not being that much superior just makes it a bad trade.

I agree, but why even ask this question, as it is an enormous impossiblity.

Exactly! No way Pat Bowlen would sign off on this.

This system is so stupid. I can't wait until this gets fixed and we start seeing more teams actually wanting to move up instead of being afraid of it.

Would you swap with the Lions?

no...

i am intrigued with the possibility of trading a 3rd to move up to get BJ Raji though...

i'm hearing he won't really slip all that much...a 3rd rounder would be enough to trade with Jax if he fell to #8...

No... not straight up... not for #1 and #33.

Hell yeah I'd do it. Then I'd let the clock roll by until the player I wanted was about to be taken. Just having the #1 doesn't mean we'd have to use it as the #1.

Considering the 2006 draft was QB rich and had 3 QB's who were supposed to be world beaters.

Right now 1 is 2nd team, one is fighting just to stay on the team and the other is a Starter who made the Pro-bowl but is on his 2nd team.

If I knew the guy I was targeting was not going to fall to where I was picking and I could swap the 12 for 1 (or 12 and a 2nd day pick) I would do it rather than be forced into option B or C.

If you target a guy and don't get you failed.

No... but I would gladly trade 2 #1's and a 3rd to the Bears for their QB. ;D

So according to you the guy is an idiot because Pat Bowlen would have to approve a trade up to 1st in the draft with a 40 million dollar + price tag. There is an idiot around but I don't think it is Never Trust a Snake.
