I know there probably aren't too many Phillies fans around here (outside of phillybroncosnut, I'm not aware of any), but it's a devastating day for Philly fans everywhere. Harry passed out in the broadcast booth today prior to a game against the Nationals, was found at 12:30 PM and rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. To me, he's been the voice of baseball my entire life. If you're not familiar with Harry, look up any Phillies video on youtube and you can hear the legend's voice. Everybody here should know him as the voice of NFL Films for years. Despite losing a legendary broadcaster and figure in the city of Philadelphia, it gives me great solace knowing that he went out on top as a World Champion, where he belonged.

RIP Harry (1936-2009)

That's a major drag. Harry, Rest in Peace.

As a play by play guy early in my professional life, I know how challenging it is, and Harry always made it sound so easy.

God speed, sir.

One of the all time greats in broadcasting, and a class act all the way.

RIP Mr. Kalas :(
