Good. Should never have sent negotiators in, this could have ended 4 days sooner. Glad he is safe and sound.

Damn good news!!! This whole thing need to be made into a movie. I think Bruce Willis needs to play the captain.

FYI this is what a real hero looks like. Him and the Brave soldiers around the world.

He jumped outta the lifeboat again - for the second tiome - and this time sharpshooters were ready. They riddled three in the boat, and slapped the cuffs on the guy on the ship who was negotiating.

There is a UN Report if you follow the link. Not saying all of the claims are true, but the waste dumping is at least cause for concern... if what the UN Report claims is true.

Not saying nuclear waste is not dumped into the ocean, just find it odd automatically the west is accused of it. As for the "mysterious ships" off the coast of Somalia...it sits right next to one of the busiest waterways in the world...there are ships coming by all the time. How the hell do they know if they are European? How do we know they are not Pakistani, Indian, Iranian or even North Korean?

No, this doesn't make hostage-taking justifiable, and yes, some are clearly just gangsters especially those who have held up World Food Programme supplies. But in a telephone interview, one of the pirate leaders, Sugule Ali: "We don't consider ourselves sea bandits. We consider sea bandits [to be] those who illegally fish and dump in our seas." William Scott would understand.

Woah, this dude has the phone number of a "Pirate Leader"?

What?!?

Pirate leader...I consider piracy to be the highjacking of ships of foriegn countries and demanding payment for their release. I consider punishment for such an act death.

Be like what? Killing all of those who take Americans hostage and hold them for ransom?

Sounds like a great plan to me! Just too bad we didn't get the 4th.

They killed three of them, captured a 4th. Thats a good enough ratio for most people.

We don't need no stinking rules when dealing with pirates. I say hang the last one on the front of the ship for all the other pirates to see. I'm ready for Toby Keith to write a Red, White and Blue kick ass pirate song.

Yes Sir, Navy Seals with night vision scopes can put a round in your ear at 1500 meters.

So they say first the European ships dump radioactive waste, then come back and fish so they can go eat radioactive fish? Something in that story just doesn't seem to pan out. On or the other is being exaggerated because I doubt fishing grounds would be worth fishing on after you dump a few tons of radioactive waste into the water.

Regarding my lack of posts... I joined up a few years ago when my son and I were coming up for a Bronco game and we met up with the group at a tailgate. I check in infrequently to see what the skuttlebutt is about the Broncos, but I simply do not have the time or inclination to share my limited views on the topics.
However, I had just read this stuff about the pirates when I stumbled onto this topic. I thought it might add to the discussion, as it was a point of view about which I was completely ignorant.
I think perhaps it is not the same people dumping waste that are fishing illegally. I thought the whole thing was strange when they posted the picture of the "pirates" all smiling and laughing. Looks like they didn't do their homework on which ships to attack.

Navy Seals are the baddest of asses. Their training is unbelievably tough (90-something percent drop out rate), so I can't imagine what they go through on a day-to-day basis.

All of our special ops guys are kick ass at what they do. Rangers, Seals, Recon Marines, and Air Force Para Rescue are all equally bad assed. Day to day? Training, PT, shoot, repeat.
