Jordan RB
Marshall WR
Royal WR
Graham TE

will all make the team.

i'd like to see Hillis back too.

Spencer Larsen will swap back to LB, he will make it but not as an offensive player.

Torain, Hillis, Arrington and Buckhalter will make the team at RB along with a rookie.

Gaffney, Marshall, Royal and Stokley will make it at WR for sure, Jackson may make it and there will be a rookie.

Scheffler and Graham will make it unless Scheffler is traded and there will be a low round rookie as well. If Scheffler doesn't make it look for Putzier or a FA pickup to make it instead.

Hillis isn't going anywhere. That doubt was based on an uninformed post article. Mcd has sung his praises and says he'll see time in the single back

J.J. Arrington RB
Correll Buckhalter RB
LaMont Jordan RB
Peyton Hillis FB

Jabar Gaffney WR
Brandon Marshall WR
Eddie Royal WR
Brandon Stokley WR

Daniel Graham TE
Tony Scheffler TE- assuming not traded

Spencer Larsen LB

Only these guy are locks to make the team, barring injury of course. So room for another RB, FB, at least another WR and TE.

the three new RBs mcdaniels signed are not locks...they would be kind of expensive cap cuts (why did he sign them all to 4 year deals?) but they are not locks. i wish he did not give them 4 year deals because now its almost a money thing that he may have to dump some of shannys guys who showed potential to keep these guys who essentially all suck.

Signing worn out backs is stupid, especially to 4 year deals.

There are plenty of fresh legs coming out of school.

I believe they are locks, barring injury like I stated. Hall and Young have only proven they can't stay healthy and neither are 20 carry types. I don't see them making it. Torrain has a shot, but 50/50 for him.

Keep Hillis and get some trade value out of Scheffler.

Value for Sheffler?

His value is to play for the team and do what he always does when he isnt hurt.

no reason to trade him. He wont get anything better than a 5th, and thats not worth losing that kind of talent.

I agree that his trade value is well below what his production level has been/could be for us on the field.

No WR's with a 80's series number, seems so weird.

He has missed 6 games in 3 seasons. His issue is trying to recover from inuries he played through during the season, it slows his progress and work in the offseason. I believe this is the first offseason he has where he didnt have surgery to fix something.

A 5th that is dependable and on the weekly roster has more value than a consistently injured player. Take the 5th and play football.

If we can get a 5th rounder to do that ill take it. But that is HIGHLY unlikely. 5th rounders dont do what Sheffler can for us. Ill take Sheffler for 4 games rather than a scout team player in the 5th.

I agree that is weird. Seems like everyone wanted to be 80 or close to it. Now there's none.

IMO, it comes down to how the RB's perform in camp and preseason.
And I think it is funny all the posts saying "and a rookie". I just don't see us taking a RB in the draft.

IMO:
RB:
JJ Arrington
Correll Buckhalter
Ryan Torrain
Peyton Hillis

WR:
Brandon Marshall
Eddie Royal
Jabar Gaffney
Brandon Stokley
Chad Jackson

TE:
Dan Graham
Tony Scheffler

And we probably draft a WR in the middle rounds from the looks of things.

Just watched the beginning of the Dallas-Arizona game on NFL Rewind. Arrington with a 100 yard KO return for TD to open the game...
