Yes, that may sound pompous, but in fact, while vacation on Mt. Sinai I discovered this mock carved in stone on the side of the mountain. The letters were still smoking and close by, I noticed a burning bush. This I knew was the draft from God! So, I took a pic with my cell phone:

12. Rey Maualuga - ILB - USC

18. Tyson Jackson - DE - LSU

48. Patrick Chung - SS - Oregon

79. Sherrod Martin - CB - Troy

84. Scott McKillop - ILB - Pitt

114. Dorrell Scott - NT - Clemson

140. Kory Sheets - RB - Purdue

185. Mike Wallace - WR - Mississippi

225. Khalif Mitchell - NT - E. Carolina

235. Tiquan Underwood - WR/ST - Rutgers

So sayeth the prophet, whose divine work brings new sustenance, speed and strength to the team. Amen.

There's a better chance Maualuga is available at 18 than Tyson Jackson

From what I'm reading, the Chargers may have the hots for Rey, but their need for a load-bearing RB may override the urge.

185. Mike Wallace - WR - Mississippi

Excellent pick.

Very underrated prospect.

Unless SD takes a RB (which I think they should, but their fans think LT and Sproles are good for 09), they are probably targeting either Rey or Tyson. Which one would you rather have? (This is assuming Raji is long gone)

Jackson at 18. We might as well select BJ Raji at #12 while we're at it...

Pass on Kory Sheets. Very talented but too much of a Clarrett mentality for me.

Love Wallace and Underwood. Really solid from 18 on. I would prefer Raji or an OLB at 12. Rey Rey would provide excellent depth behind McKillop! :wiggle:

Nah. He's just too cocky for his own good. Bobby Turner would straighten him out. He doesn't have mental illness, like Clarett.

i dont get why anyone wants Rey 2 down 3-4 linebacker then you want to use him in a 4-3 that we will employ.. i think god must have been high

He's kind of a tweener. He might drop. Of course, he might go earlier just based on his size.

That would be ideal. :)

Just depends on how everything unfolds. It's unlikely that he is there at 18, but in the mock I did last night it is not out of the question. You can make a case for Washington and San Diego. Both who really need help at OT. Thankfully there are plenty of those in this draft. If some of them begin to fall, watch out.

I love Rey, but how about Rashard Jennings with 2nd 3rd instead of another ILB?

I think Sheets would be a good change of pace back. McKillop is one of those players I would look for in every draft. The guy lives and breathes football, wants nothing more than to spend his time out there playing the game, and gives everything he's got on every play. I always want those guys on my team. I wouldn't take any player who played that Liberty schedule before the fifth round, unless they were way off the charts better than the competition they played against.

We want the same thing. I want guys who love the game. That being said, Jenning is not a change of pace guy. We have a lot of situational RB. Jennings can be a starting RB that can pound the rock and run the clock.

LOL

If he drops to us at #12, we should really give him a hard look!
