12. Denver Broncos (8-8)

Tyson Jackson, DE, LSU: Jackson would be ideal in a 3-4, thanks to his ability to shift inside in passing situations.

18. Denver Broncos (from Chicago) (8-8)

Everette Brown, DE, Florida State: Brown could make an immediate impact in the Broncos' defense because of his strong skill set.

48. Denver Broncos: Ron Brace, DT, Boston College
79. Denver: Asher Allen, CB, Georgia
84. Denver (from Chicago): Louis Murphy, WR, Florida
114. Denver: Chip Vaughn, S, Wake Forest

I absolutely love it, other than the Murphy pick. Don't know much about him.

Wow. It's gonna be tough for a lot of the Kiper haters to hate on him for this mock.

Not bad. I would rather see a RB like Rashard Jennings in the 3rd, not a WR.

I absolutely love it, other than the Murphy pick. Don't know much about him. I really love this draft.Murphy is also a good value pick in the 3 round. Murphy at 6-2 with 4-4 speed will allow Royal to move to the slot. Murphy is really good at catching the deep ball.

I like it too...def wont complain, but like the peeps above, not in love with the murphy pick.

Don't need a WR in the 3rd

I think given Marshall's situation both short term (possible suspension this season) and long term (can he ever keep his nose clean) make a 3rd round WR a sensible pick. Remember that McDaniels signed David Anderson to an offer sheet even after signing Gaffney and restructuring Stokley. Whatever role he had in mind for Anderson was not filled, so that guy could come in the draft. We are not going take defense with every single pick.

I don't like Brown. A short DE, don't we have one of those.

Anyone watch path to the draft last night? Mayock and Casserly were saying how Everette Brown is only 6'1" and at Fla State was a rotational DE, not an everydown player (sound familiar). I really was high on him, but I didn't know all of this. We already have DE's that are situational guys. We need to try and land Ayers from Tenn. who Mike Mayock says in 3 years will be the BEST Defensive player from this draft. I trust Mayock and hope we can Land Ayers.

I really like Brown, but i'm thinking more and more that we need a guy like Barwin. He's do damn smart and tough, and actually "learned" how to play DE on the job. While he was learning the spot, he actually got more sacks last year than Brown.

I am really, really starting to warm to Connor Barwin at #18. I like him better than all the USC backers. He's smarter than Maualuga, not "maxed out" like Cushing, and has already learned how to win against OT's unlike Matthews.

Say yes to Barwin as the SAM for our new defense - pick him at 18.

I saw that too. We have one of these guys already, and he is cheap and proven. Pass on Brown. We need to Draft starters on day one.

I'd still rather have Maualuga at 18. First and foremost, the Denver Broncos need to stop the run. If we got Jackson/Maualuga/Brace...that would go a long way to stoppin it!

I like Doom more than I like the idea of Brown.

I am not as sold on Barwin as you. He is a project. I admit he is interesting, but I think that he is a situational guy for a few years. Maualuga is a starter from day one, and he has not yet reached his potential.

Wow Barwin ran a 4.47 on his pro-day? I'm starting to warm up to him too. Thats some blazing speed on the outside, if he has instincts to go with it, I would love to take him.

Plus I don't want some fag like Cushing with "FEEL ME" on his eye patches.

At this point I'm wondering if Jackson will last until #12... Hopefully he does, he would be perfect for us.

I don't want us to get a 3-4 pass rusher in the first round this year. We should at least try and give Dumervil and Moss a chance to battle it out in camp. We should get a defensive lineman and an ILB in the first round.

awesome mock draft...

i would replace the Murphy WR pick with a RB...scatback of sorts...

Barwin would be a HORRIBLE pick...

this guy is a work out warrior with great physical measurables, but he's is way too raw to invest a 1st round pick on...the guy is not polished at all and we need impact players for this year...

maybe he'd contribute at TE early but a 3-4 SAM would take additional time...and even then i'm not sure he'd do well...

3rd round grade that'll prolly be picked in the 2nd round due to GMs falling in llove with his measurables...

Unlike a lot of the problem children of the past, I think the difference is in the fact that Marshall WANTS to come clean. I've hear he is a real honest, genuine human from multiple people who know him, including a buddy of minde I was stationed on the Kennedy with who play football with him in highschool - said B-Marsh is a very nice guy, just not the brightest guy and finds himself in trouble.

I'm trying to think of analogies - a good kid who just runs with the wrong crowd.

I thought that was because he hates Cutler, which should be okay now - right? I'm not saying anything either way, just trying to figure out the correct groupthink protocol around here.

If this draft happens as is.. I would never say i hate mel kiper and his stupid draft.

With the other 4. If he drafts a DT, C, RB and KR/PR/ST. I would be very very happy
