You have never played in a town like this and you never will again.

The fans live and die by the success or failure of the QB. You have just replaced the golden boy in a situation that was not positive for the fans. If you are part of a movement that results in success, the fans will love you. If you fail here, it will be complete disaster and could be enough to tire you of the sport.

Many of us will be pulling for you.

Fair or not, QB's are never too low on the blame list when things go wrong.

I like what Orton is saying, how he carries himself, sure he doesn't have the athletic ability of Cutty, but seems to be very humble and a, ready to work his as* off, kind of guy. Kind of reminds me of a Blue collar guy with a fat bank account, heres to hoping he does great in this system

GO BRONCOS!!!

However, Broncos fans aren't NEAR as passionate about our team than Bears fans though, so don't worry too much.

Whatever, he's already played in Chicago -- the most passionate fans in the NFL.

Or, at least according to Cutler, fans more passionate than Denver.

Will Orton be asked to put up huge numbers or just asked to manage the game?

He should be asked for the latter, but with our defense managing the game will most likely mean 30 points per game...

Can someone, once and for all, tell me what "managing a game" means? It seems like a bull**** word saved for a QB that doesnt throw many picks, but otherwise sucks.

Trent Dilfer was a game manager for the Ravens when they won it all. Dude was asked to just not turn it over. They knew their offense sucked.

I remember reading somewhere that Ashlie Lelie was an "avid internet browser" or something like that.

Poor guy if he stopped here. hahha

It's what you do when you're not a "franchise quarterback".

The local Denver fans are the hardest group on their QB's I have ever seen.

I don't know why any QB wants to play for such a sack of bitches that think they are entitled to win every game ever played.

I didn't think of that, guess he'll be in the shot gun most of the time playing from behind.

Trent Dilfer was along for the ride on the back of one of the NFL's all-time great defenses.

I'm not sure that we even want to know just how awful this Denver Broncos defense is right now coming off of one of the worst defensive performances in franchise history and in the midst of installing a new scheme.

I don't think that Orton will be managing this team to a whole lot.

If someone in the Broncos did not keep track of the prevailing opinions on the Main they would be remiss in the running of the organization. I doubt if Pat spends much time here but you can bet he has someone that does and reports back to him.

It's an internet world. If Barak Obama has a myspace page, you can bet these kids are tech savvy.

Out here in Ohio I read a newspaper story that said many pro athletes shop on the internet because of the unwanted attention they draw when they try to shop at the malls.

I imagine many Google fan forums just to see what the fan bases are saying, although I haven't read any statements from players that they do, in fact, cruise the net.

The thing I like about Orton is that he seems like a genuinely nice guy. Someone the regular fan can identify with. I also like his career record. Lets give the kid a chance and see what he can do. Even Bears fans liked him, although they are admittedly excited about Cutler.

Hey I agree. I like his attitude. I think between him and Simms, we're going to have some good competition.

I honestly believe one of these guys could get it done for us. I really hope they get the chance.

The other thing to remember. Both our QB's have winning records as a starter. And, both have won their division and gone to the playoffs. Neither is perfect, but each has been good enough to get to the post season.

That's at least a good place to start.

The difference is yours threw nine touchdown passes in the course of getting there. On the 29th ranked offense. ROFL!

Orton will be 3rd in line behind McDaniels and Bowlen.

Correct but after the bucket of blame laid on the top two little will be left for Orton. He'll be a blame afterthought. If he fails the fans will say, "F'ing McD traded our stud for this guy and Bowlen let him."

This fact makes him the perfect guy to rebuild this team.

There are no expecations for the new QB to succeed. If he wins a couple of games people will be greatful and run around pissing themselves that duh _roncos made the right move.

If they are smart they use the great stache of picks to build a championship D over next 2 years and some depth at Oline.

Then when pieces are in place they can get the big gun.

If the package all the picks they just aquired and go after a 3rd QB in 2 months then they are ****ed and doomed to failure.

Todays NFL fans are so reactionary that by week 3 they will have weighed the trade and declared victory or failure.

I agree 100% about going after one of these QB's in this draft. In no way do you look at Sanchez, and you only look at Freeman in round 2.
