View Full Version : Big 12 Championship game: Oklahoma vs. Kansas State

Big 12 South champs, Oklahoma Sooners, take on the Big 12 North champs, the Kansas State Wildcats.

This game has a 14 point spread as the Sooner have been tearing through everyteam that they've played this year, as their #1 ranking shows. The Sooner sport the best D in the country, along with one of the most potent offenses, led by Hesiman candidate QB Jason White.

Kansas State comes in as a very hot team, beating Nebraska in Lincoln for the first time in God knows how long and Missouri to win the Big 12 North. They'll need a big game from team leader, QB Ell Roberson, if they want to have a chance at winning this game.

This game is being played at Arrowhead Stadium, home of that NFL team that is going to lose to the Broncos tomorrow :D. That could be an advantage to KSU, as they play in Manhattan, KS, but Oklahoma looks to be too tough to win.

Oklahoma beats the spread of 14 and goes onto win the Big 12 Cghampionship, and gets their bid to play in the Sugar Bowl for the national Chamionship.

Thoughts and in-game talk in this thread.

Anubis, just another example of just how much you really don't know. That's what you get for talking about a team that you have no idea about. None of you obviously watched KSU play at all this year, although I did, so I was the only one here who knew they were going to beat Oklahoma. Okay, I didn't think they'd blow them away like they did, but I did smell a victory. Especially when you have dumbass Bronco fans thinking they know what they're talking about. Just wait until after the Chiefs and Broncos game, then it's 2 for 2 for the weekend! In your faces!

I've watched KSU many of times and they havent looked that good all year. I didn't think they had a chance in hell unless they owned the line of scrimage in witch they did. Sproles deserves way much more hype then he gets. The guy is flat out good.

This just in. ketchup boy with another of his hindsight 20/20 predictions. Way to go.
By the way, a prediction is done before the game or event.
Damn, as long as we continue to allow these farmers (loggin in from the cab of the combine no doubt) on this board the education of them will never end.
Darwin, was right by the way.

Dude we own you, why do you come back?

Hinz, how'd your college bball team do yesterday?

Anyone else find it a bit odd that Hinz roots for Kansas State in football, and roots for Kansas in basketball?

Seems strange, I have enough pride in my team to never root for a rival in another sport, I couldn't bring myself to ever root for Michigan. But hey, I know KSU is better in football and Kansas is better in basketball, so you just want to have a winning team in each sport and that ranks higher than team loyalty to you.

First off, Oklahoma just might not even make the BCS National Title game, so right there shows how much you know. Jason White's chances of the Heisman Trophy also have just been declined, and might not win it due to KSU's stunning victory over OU. Anubis, seriously, I am highly sure you can make a little sense in your next post, or even make it remotely seem like you have any idea about the game of professional or college football. Secondly, how do you really know if you know "alot more than me" anyways? No one knows who knows more about football than the next guy, especially on a bulletin board like this. And even if you could, there is no way you have any proof to back up your case, especially after your moronic comments on Orange Mane. Just like most athletes find out late in their careers, it's "Time To Hang It Up". You're done. It's over.

Anubis, when will you finally get it? When will you finally get it that you never make any sense, and you're not good for anything more than just a good laugh. I'm sure if I could transform back to when I was 8, I'm sure we could have a great discussion about football and whatever else you usually talk about. But now, since you can't hold a good argument or anything with an adult, you're just good for a laugh, nothing more.

This has been a pet peeve of mine for years. There are plenty of people in Kansas that say they are K-State football fans and KU basketball fans. They just like to stick to the winners. I went to K-State, and I would rather drive a stake through my brain than to root for KU anything.tsk tsk

By the way, I know it's late (I just joined this week). The weekend that K-State beat OU and Denver beat the Chiefs was the best weekend I've had in a long time.;D
