* Starts of joking that Jay is not his favorite person right now.

* Excited for both the Broncos and Bears. Thinks both sides can go on happy.

* Says the locker room believes in McDaniels and Bowlen. We have a great group of guys who will follow McDaniels lead.

* He and Cutler were drafted together and expected to play together for a long time but it didn't work out.

* It's time to look forward to the new era with McDaniels. Believes in the moves Bowlen is making.

* McDaniels was able accomplish amazing things with Matt Cassel last year.

* Spoke with Orton yesterday and expressed how excited he is to play with him. Called Orton a smart, good QB.

* Mentioned Orton's 15-2 record at home and said that with McDaniels leading them they'd be just fine.

* Says McDaniels and Bowlen have not lost one bit of confidence from the locker room. With McDaniels knowledge, they're not going to miss a beat.

* Cutler is a special QB who doesn't come around often, but the locker room has full belief in McDaniels.

* Thinks Broncos fans may not like Cutler too much during the preseason game.

* Chicago fans will like Cutler and he'll do good things in their community.

and the band played "The World Turned Upside Down"...

what a weird thing to see Marshall behave with the requisite professionalism and Jay temper-tantrum his way out of town...

This isn't to say that Brandon has a problem with his mouth...it's just a strange string of events.

one thing you HAVE to give to marshall, off field issues aside, hes always been a fun loving professional about the game.

He is towing the company line. Everyone deep down in their hearts know that Cutler was a special thing, and this was totally unnecessary. We might still be a good team, even great sometime in future.... but there was really no need to lose Cutler... this all started out so small and slowly blew up into a catastrophe....

Thanks for the summary. I had been wondering what his take on all this was and good to read he's taking it all the right way, at least outwardly. I guess he has confidence that he can be good without Cutler and that Cutler didn't single handedly make Marshall what he is (not to mention Clady, Harris, Royal, Stokely, Hillis, etc.), contrary to what many (perhaps even Cutler) believes.

you're right...I know BM has always been a good guy in interviews, I didn't mean to paint him in a false light...just the perception that he was the time bomb and Cutler was his rock makes this saga, and this interview w/ Marshall interesting and a little ironic.

Haha Brandon's a funny kid, so frustrating, but what an infectious personality.

had you listened to a word mcdaniels has been saying since feb 29th, they never really tried to get rid of cutler, even up until a few days ago they had been trying to get cutler to come in and stop being a baby but he wouldnt. this is ALL on cutler and no one else.

B Marsh is now the face of the Offense?

I like Brandon, and I think he has is a good guy. I really think(hope) the latest thing was a misunderstanding and nothing will come down by the league.

With 2 illegal gun charges and a manslaughter charge on the Commishes plate, an open and shut case shouldn't get much play.

It sucks Jay is gone and this whole thing could of been avoided, move on and lets make the most of it.

I don't think they want a "face" of the offense, defense, or franchise. I get the feeling that's the new directive of the Broncos.

The face of the Broncos is the logo.

The other interesting thing: Brandon has already talked to Kyle. Has Jay talked to any of his new teammates. Olsen didn't mention speaking with him.

Marshall should be excited now. He has the opportunity to be the leader and the face of this offense.

The team wants to sell jerseys right? 00 with Broncos on the back is not going to be a huge seller, I don't think.

I know what you are saying, and I understand team first, but it is still a business.

This is the face of the Denver Broncos (acne and all), like it or not:

Marshall has had his run-ins with the law, but he's never ever been an a-hole. This type of thing is consistent to stuff he always says. I dont get why you guys want to trade him away, he's not TO. I'm glad he's excited, i am too

Marshall has never had a bad TV image. He's always been well spoken and comes across was very likable. It doesn't suprise me to her BMarsh say these things. Where BMarsh's problem is, is when the camera's are off of him. Maybe we should just hire someone to follow him around with a camera 24-7!

A new QB is not always a bad thing. Hell, 2 rookies QB's last year made the playoffs!

And you would think Marshall would be the most upset out of all them. Anybody ever think that Marshall just dealt with Cutler because he was the guying throwing him the ball and not necessarily his favorite person on the team?

As close as people thought they were, you would assume some comments like, "I'm going to love playing with Orton, but I can't lie, I'm going to miss my man Cutler. We came into the league together, formed a bond, but its a business, you know. You got to roll with the punches. I'm going to miss Jay, but I'm ready to rock with Kyle. Hopefully, we can have the same chemistry as Jay and I did."

But nothing. Actually, we are not hearing any upsetness coming from the offensive side of the ball over Jay's departure.

Things that make you go hmmmm.

I'd like to think that Stokely will take more on a leadership role on the offense...he seems to be a Rod Smith type of guy imo.

Marshall had said in a couple interviews that he had a "different" type of relationship with cutler and that they had an "understanding". He also understands that this offense is now going to revolve around him and eddie making plays i'm sure Mcdaniels has explained this to him. Cutler felt he was more important than the team so he was traded simple as that. Seems like the team understands it.

Cutler although the face of the team was not our best player, Ryan Clady and Champ Bailey were both better than him and Marshall was right at his level. Marshall wants to move into the elite with them, so he is buying into the system that got randy moss pretty much every single season record you could ask for. Also Eddie Royal is right climbing the ladder steadily.

Oh oh, the Cutler fans now have a player to hate in Marshall, besides hating the coach and owner. The players fully support McDaniels? Time to throw Marshall under the bus Cutler fans.

None of the interviews with current Bears players have said that they have spoken with Jay. Not a good sign Jay.

I heard on the light rail that Marshall was seen wearing a piece of duct tape on his T Shirt that said "#6 is no #18".
