Not bad. Another nice scenario would be Cushing and Clay starting their NFL careers on the same team. ;D

You think Ayers will climb that high?

Id rather have CMJ than Cushing and pass on Malcolm Jenkins.

Yeah, call it a gut feeling.

Just a hunch, but I think Beanie Wells will be a Bronco on draft day.

I have Raji/Wells at 12 I agree McD might want to take pressure off Orton.

Do you see Harvin as a sleeper pick now that we have 18? If we get Raji at 12 that is.

I think Harvin could be the pick at #18. Just a feeling.

Harvin seems like a really versatile weapon, like a Reggie Bush. Considering McDaniels looks like he's building more of a standard offense, I'm not sure what kind of fit he'd be. I think if the Broncos were to go offense in round 1, they'd take a RB, although I'd personally prefer they go defense, defense and more defense.

Me too I'd prefer D I just thought of Harvin and as we know of McD he's unpredictable so I wouldn't rule it out esp if BM gets suspended before draft.

NFLN really think we need a Franchise QB and should trade 12 and 18 to get Sanchez over fixing a bad D.

Hell no. We better not draft a 1st round QB. We just had that and McDaniels botched it up so now he needs to prove his worth by finding a late round sleeper who proves that you don't need to pay early for a franchise type of player.

The first two picks should be defense.

I'll say Tyson Jackson at #12 and Michael Johnson at #18. We get some bulk up front and a player that can rush the passer off the edge or drop into coverage.

Round 2 we should look at safety or corner. Sean Smith/Louis Delmas or William Moore will do it for me.

What kind of logic is this?

You're basically saying we need to ignore one avenue that might be the best move to make the team better because McDaniels didn't keep Cutler around?

I doubt he and Cutler had problems based on where Cutler was drafted.

I'm very opposed to taking either QB in this draft because I just don't think they're very good. Sanchez has above average but not elite arm strength, great accuracy, and good fundamentals but he's relatively inexperienced and short. Stafford has a killer arm, mediocre accuracy, a lot of experience but fundamentals that need to be refined, and he's also just as short.

But if McDaniels thinks one of them is a franchise QB then its his call. He's the one calling the shots as it pertains to players, so he should get to make what moves he thinks will best improve the club.

I would expect the move up to Jax spot for Sanchez. That will take the 12 and the 3rd (now that we have two)

If this is how the draft goes I would draft 12 Raji 18. Josh Freeman. The Broncos need to get another franchise Q.B. in this draft. They will load up on defence in 2010 with guys like McCoy, Sevine, Mays, and Hughes. I could see the Broncos future defensive line with Raji at NT and McCoy at De.

Cushing is a horrible pick, infact I wouldn't even have him in the 1st rd. The guy has been blown up all year by backs and receivers who wont even get drafted.

NFLN really think we need a Franchise QB and should trade 12 and 18 to get Sanchez over fixing a bad D.

Of course the pundits think that, but I really think this draft will build the defense and add a couple of offensive pieces and we'll go to the season with Orton.

Take a year to see what Orton can do behind a real OL and with talented WRs, and if he flunks we have 2 1st rounders to get after a franchise QB in 2010 when the QB class is much stronger. I also wouldn't rule out Cassel as a future possibility if the Chiefs don't extend him. I don't think he'll look anywhere near as good in KC as he did in McDs system, and if he becomes a FA we'll be all over him.

That said, if Sanchez gets to pick #12 you get to the podium in record time.

I wonder what Nolan thinks of Maualuga? After all, for years his bread and butter was coaching LBs. We really couldn't have a better guy making the LB pick for us. I'm betting we take two in this draft. Matthews and McKillop would be nice. Zack Follett looks like a beast.
