View Full Version : Looking for a few game players

Hi, all. I come in peace as an emissary from Chiefsplanet, the site devoted to the greatest football team on the planet and the favorite web site of Matt Cassel, who could be traded if...maybe I shouldn't go there.

Anyway, I'm creating a couple of long-term football simulation exercises, and I'm looking for some players. Other than knowing a bit about the draft, one of the games is probably two or three hours per year, and the other one might be a few more. (The first year of "Game 3" below would be a bear, but would be fun.)

The goal of both games is to see how well you can build a franchise over time. The game would take a very low level of effort each year, but the purpose would be to play for several years to build your own franchise. It's a marathon, not a sprint.

Here are links with descriptions:

This one would be easier up front, but would take a little more time each year. You would take an existing NFL team and run with it, including recognizing the salary cap.

This one would take a fair bit of time up front for the draft, but would be easier over time. In this game, we would draft our own teams and run with them. There would be no salary cap in this game.

Hopefully some of you are interested, because I think it could be fun. I'd really like to get roughly 32 to 40 players in each game. If interested, I'll need you to sign up on Chiefsplanet since that's my home address.

Farewell, my tangerine friends, until we meet again in an alternate reality.

I'm a bit of an amateur psychologist, and I can tell you're in pain. Something about your mother. If you want to talk about it, I'm here to listen. Just stay over there and talk loud. I can hear you fine.

I think he left. Poor guy. He's not going to last a year without getting some help.

listening to boob tell you about his nasty thoughts about his mother doens't make you an amatuer psychologist.

I know little of your ways. I come to your strange community seldom, only when I need water for my horse or have furs to trade.

Bob's Your Information Minister?!?!?! Yes! I know him! His name is pronounced differently in my native land, but his greatness transcends mere labels. He is one of the heroes of the chiefsplanet republic.

Come over here and stand closer again. Any friend of Bob is a friend of mine.

I once made a piece of toast, and when it came out of the toaster, it had a picture of Bob's Your Information Minister in the crust. Freaked me out real bad. I sold it on ebay for over fifty bucks to some casino in Vegas. True story.

Chief fan Bob is indeed a standard bearer for us. He is a great, great man. Did you know that he spent six months last year caring for starving children in Burkina Faso? Heart of gold, I'm telling you.

And as for Arrowhead Stadium, the holiest of holy places, the Jerusalem of football, the Vatican of defense, we view any construction work as being similar to preserving that picture of God touching Man on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. We're preserving its beauty for future generations so that they might find happiness.
