Hey Mods: A little clarity? Taco?

Yea, listen.. I noticed Blueflame moved a thread to the Butt that she didn't agree with.

It was a great thread called "Cutler, you gutless drunk"

Then, I did a quick search and noticed that a thread she DID agree with, "Bowlen, you gutless drunk" was left attached to the main page.

Since we now have speculation that Cutler is also a gutless drunk, it seems odd that one thread was moved by Blueflame to the Butt and not the other?

Probably just an oversight, but perhaps we can get a little clarity so we know which jokes and opinions are tolerated, and which are not.

Even though I am a rival fan I have been around this community for a while. TJ has always shown himself to be very even handed and is a great mod. The other mods have always been pretty inconsistent. That happens. Being a mod is a **** job. It is a thankless deal where people bitch and moan and complain at you all the time. Even so, the thing that is annoying is that things just happen here behind the magic curtain and nobody explains anything if they are even upfront about doing something to a thread. I think it is amazing that BlueFlame even said that she did something...a lot of times you don't get that around here. Not all but some of the mods under TJ have a history of being petty and poor decision makers for the board. One of the really bad offenders doesn't have the ropes anymore. TJ wouldn't call out any of this in public bc that is not the way to deal with it but I hope there is some discussions going on behind the scenes.

The key is consistency. I think boards are free to have their rules and do it how they see fit but when consistency is an issue like it seems to have been here it is annoying as hell.

So you got a report for a thread? Oh well, reports happen all the time. There still needs to be a reason for a mod action. The mod not liking something or some random poster not liking something is not enough.

Ok, since this thread calls for clarification, can I get some on this comment. I am not going to ask about the other poster, as I can understand why you would want to keep such information confidential, but in what way did you find the "Cutler is a gutless drunk" thread inappropriate? I disagree with Popps take on this whole situation, I think McDaniels is in the middle of a process that will cause a ten year Broncos collapse, and agree that he is still a Patriot not a Bronco.

I actually take the Cutler situation further than most Cutler supports and believe he is acting maturely in a way to preserve, prolong, and further his own career, and indirectly helping the Broncos by bringing Josh McDaniels faults as a head-coach and his defacto position as (ineffectual) GM to light. And I understand that Popps is so stubborn and bullheaded that even if McDaniels sprouted horns and a tail and started carrying a pitchfork, Popps would say those traits will help him in putting together an effective deffense.

At the same point in time, I didn't see anything "inappropriate" in the drunk Cutler thread. What was inappropriate in your opinion, to make sure I don't make the same mistake Popps did.
