I hate Thanksgiving games. If we win, it is all good, but I have a problem enjoying the meal until after the game.

Perfect. I'll be back in Denver for Thanksgiving so I'm definitely going to the game.

That's awesome, hopefully my brother will be back from Afghanistan by that point and can go with.

We should be out of the playoff race by then so I can enjoy my meal without too much stress.

RAIDERS RETURN TO THANKSGIVING, 39 YEARS LATER
Posted by Mike Florio on March 23, 2009, 4:19 p.m.
After an absence of nearly 40 years, the Oakland Raiders will play football on Thanksgiving.

This year, the Raiders will travel to Dallas for the late afternoon game at the new Texas Stadium. The game will be aired on CBS.

The day begins with the Lions hosting the Packers, on FOX. The Thanksgiving prime time game features the Broncos hosting the Giants, and it will be shown on NFL Network.

That's pretty awesome. Hopefully we don't crap ourselves in front of national TV.

Does it really count as "national TV" if less than 10% of the population gets that channel?

I hate you. LOL I'm with Verizon and have considered switching to Sprint solely because they have the NFL contract.

This sucks for me. I assume it's the night game right? Well, on the West Coast, that's right during the meal. Thanksgiving is probably my fav holiday...i like my broncos and my thanksgiving unencumbered.

Since the NFLN was Pat's idea, as I understand it, we're always good to get at least one game on the network.

I have the NFL Network, but my cable provider (Wide Open West) won't pay the "rights" to carry live games so I get some stupid season flashbacks or something. I have told them I would pay more to get live games, put it on a sports teir, they won't. So I don't get live games

Due to contractual agreements between WOW! and the NFL Network, WOW! can not broadcast the regular season games shown on that channel. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Damn, that is VERY misleading. They should make it clear to potential subscribers that they are going to get access to "NFL Network Lite" instead of genuine, full-flavored "NFL Network".

I know, I specifically went to a digital tier when Denver played at KC acouple of years ago, I went to family, did the whole thanksgiving thing, DVR'd the game got home and low and behold I get some stupid Vikings flashback> I was so pissed I called WOW and told them the only reason I upgraded to digital tier was for NFLN...long story short I still don't pay full price for my cable service because of all the complaining i do...every thursday night when a game is on I call, complain and they give me discounts.

I had this for the same game. Sat down to watch it and a black stripe started scrolling saying what the deal was. I was pissed, called em, and they had it fixed the following week but I still missed the Broncos game.

how'd you get it fixed...three years later and they still tell me they don't have an agreement to air live games...do you have Wide Open West?

Thankfully I'm in NY so without having the NFL Network they will still show the game locally so I'll be able to watch it on the tube instead of trying to get it on the computer.

I think we can expect a TON of Prime Time games this year.

The Eagles with Dawkins, coming home... the Pats coming to Denver to play against the ex-pat "wonder kin /cough," and probably another San Diego game... and who knows what else.

I was thinking four all along with two scheduled MNF & two SNF (maybe one flexed?)....Hopefully that still happens and we get a total of five. :yayaya:
