It was up on the DP just a few minutes ago (http://www.denverpost.com/ci_11936661), but now the feed is down. It talked about the Raji workout, and then Eric Wood. I like Wood. Interesting. Cool.

i wonder if the draft is why they are still not finished re-signing Weigman

Broncos to work out Wood

Louisville C Eric Wood told Scout.com that he has a private workout scheduled with the Denver Broncos tomorrow, Tuesday March 17th. A four-year starter at center for Louisville who holds a school-record for most consecutive starts at 49, Wood has been working out this offseason at center and guard to make himself more versatile for the next level.
The Broncos would embrace the 6-foot-4, 310-pound Wood’s versatility, as they could use more depth on the interior of their offensive line. Last year, the Broncos selected former Bowling Green C Kory Lichtensteiger in the fourth round, and he saw action in all 16 games on special teams and even lined up as an H-Back in the jumbo package on offense. Lichtensteiger also saw action at guard late in the year when starter Chris Kuper went down with an injury.
With Lichtensteiger, OTs Ryan Clady and Ryan Harris and potentially Wood upfront, the Broncos would have a young, athletic offensive line that they can build around for the next ten years.

That would be unfortunate. I'd like to get a guy like Wood and keep Weigman.

I love this kid. Ive been pimping him over the last couple weeks. This kid is just a mauler and would bring the nasty back to our line. He would have to be our 2nd round pick though... if he makes it there.

I don't know if we'll draft any of these guys. It might all be smoke screen, for all we know. But I do like a lot of the players they've brought in for workouts.

In the top half they can afford a lot less smokescreen involving the first three rounds. When we're back in the mid-twenties, then I'll be curious to see the approach.

so would i, for at least 1 more year. Weigman was awesome for us last season, one of the best FA signings we have had in a really long time.

I like Wood a lot. I'd say he's the #2 best center in this class in terms of being ready to handle a 3-4 NT man up. Thats going to be real important for us going forward.

I've got Wood. Can't believe nobody said it. Seriously though, guys a player. I like his durability and toughness. More Lichensteiger over to guard, no?

I like this years centers more than last year. Id take Mack, Luigs, or Wood. I really liked his handiwerk against Raji in the senior bowl. We should get one. Wiegmann is old and Hamilton gets ragdolled too much.
