Just a quick nugget...

Dawkins at NFLPA meeting in Hawaii ó not in Denver
by Lindsay Jones on March 16, 2009

DOVE VALLEY ó One more notable absence from the first day of the Broncosí off-season workout.

But thereís no drama here.

Safety Brian Dawkins, one of the teamís marquee free agent acquisitions, is the teamís representative at the NFL Playerís Associationís meeting in Hawaii. The NFLPA on Sunday selected lawyer DeMaurice Smith as its new executive director.

The Broncosí former rep was defensive lineman Ebenezer Ekuban, but Ekuban was a free agent and was not re-signed by the teamís new coach and general manager.

Dawkins will rejoin the team for off-season workouts later this week, according to a team spokesman.
