Yeah he doesn't spend a ton of time in his house anyway.

At the very least, the timing is peculiar. Obviously, he's smart enough to know that the media would get ahold of it, and people would read into it.

I really, really hope he shows up Monday, and that he and McDaniels make nice.

I think it's funny that in the worst housing market in decades, in a foreclosure hotbed city, that he's trying to make money on a house he bought in 2006.

Good luck with that Jay. His Realtor must be part of his PR team.

Unreal. I just checked realtor.com and there are 74 houses for sale in his town that are going for over $1 million. Yikes.

16 alone just between $1.8 and $2.1 mil. Talk about a flooded market.

And I assume that doesn't even count his or any others that have just been listed in the past few days, because his isn't on realtor.com yet.

If he actually has, you don't think the timing was intentional?

Its just another chess move on the part of Bus Cook to try and strong arm the Broncos. When an agent gets involved and gets permission to seek a trade for a player the team always gets less than what they would've if they just moved him themselves. Primarily because the agent is under no restrictions to not publicly shop offers so no team will overpay in desperation.

Seriously.

Though it does appear to be within reason. Looking at the other houses in that town going for around that price, Cutler's is right in line with them in terms of sq footage, land, beds and baths. I don't think he's being unrealistic with that price. (Having said that, obviously none of the other houses I'm looking at online have sold at their asking prices yet......)

Exactly my thoughts. It is a great move by Cook from a business stand point. Just list it way out of a good price range. If someone overpays great take the money and run. If not it gets media attention and causes worry/panic.

On the move? Cutler puts his house up for sale
By The Denver Post
POSTED: 03/13/2009 02:52:51 PM MDT
UPDATED: 03/13/2009 03:49:46 PM MDT

With offseason workouts scheduled next week at Dove Valley and uncertainty about whether Jay Cutler will show up, the quarterback on Thursday put his multi-million dollar house in Parker up for sale.

Cutler's 7,516-square-foot house on nearly 1-1/2 acres is advertised for sale at $2 million, according to a real estate listing. Cutler bought the house in 2006 for $1.34 million.

On Monday, Cutler came away from a conference call with Broncos coach Josh McDaniels believing he might be traded between now and the NFL draft on April 25, an NFL source told The Denver Post.

The Broncos had a different impression of the call, thinking it was a positive talk, a source close to the team said. McDaniels was joined on the conference

call by Broncos general manager Brian Xanders, owner Pat Bowlen and chief operating officer Joe Ellis in Colorado. Cutler, in Nashville, was joined by his agent, Bus Cook.
Cutler has been upset the Broncos attempted to trade him in a three-team deal for then-New England quarterback Matt Cassell, who was traded to Kansas City on Feb. 28.

Cutler also owns a penthouse condo in lower downtown Denver.

Fuller Sotheby's International Reality is the listing office for the sale of Cutler's house.

Listening to 104 the Fan, it seems that Jay's parents and sister moved in when he first bought it.
Since then, his parents have bought a house and moved out.
The timing might be a coincidence....a large empty house in Parker is not as much fun for a single guy as a downtown Penthouse.
It makes sense to put it on the market.

The house is right on the BORDER of the Pinery, on Democrat. And yes, it's gated. (and big and beautiful and spectular and waterfall encrusted)

There's usually a white hummer parked in the driveway (I drive by the house every day at some point in time for work), so if he DOES drive that particular vehicle then either A. he lives there or B. loves his family quite a bit.

And p.s., I know his sister lives there ...apparently she was in charge of walking my county inspector friend through they're newly finished basement project (and consequently she was a pretty huge brat according to his account).

so there ya go, hope that adds some more fuel to the fire
