LaDainian Tomlinson said he considered Saints, Ravens, Broncos

LaDainian Tomlinson joined the show after restructuring his contract with the Chargers. Here are some of the highlights of his interview with Dan.

-- Tomlinson said he did start to think about where he might play next when things got dicey with the Chargers. The first team he mentioned was New Orleans, which he said was everyone's obvious choice. He agreed, the Saints made a lot of sense. He also thought Baltimore would be great because his former coordinator Cam Cameron is there. Also, Denver would have been a good fit.

-- Tomlinson said he wasn't surprised the team wanted to restructure his contract. L.T. says that happens to everyone. "I just wanted that contract to be fair," Tomlinson said.

-- Tomlinson said if he's healthy he expects to run for a lot of yards this year.

-- Tomlinson sort of talked around it, but implied that there are performance-based incentives in his contract.

-- Tomlinson said that Emmitt Smith's record is a big thing to him, but it doesn't compare to chasing a championship ring.

-- Tomlinson said that he's happy to share carries with Darren Sproles and he thinks that will help both of them.

To be honest I didn't want to pay that old dude so much money... but seeing as how we just got Correll Buckhalter (who is a year older than LT and injured more) I guess I would have been fine if we didn't get that guy, J.J. or LaMont so our cap wouldn't be too affected.

Well, he will be a free agent next year, so we will see.

Well according to rotoworld that would but him at the perfect age for us to sign him.

He would have been a great fit in Denver. He could run wild and would not have to worry about folding and bailing on the team in the playoffs since we dont seem to go there anymore.

I'm happy for LT, he's a class act.

While I agree LT is a good guy cant we hate on him until he retires. After all he is still the enemy.

LT WAS a class act. He's been a punk ever since his team got good.

LT was a class act. He's been a punk since he said he would be willing to play for Denver Broncos.

Man, he just came down a notch after that one.

He's not a bad guy, but he's demonstrated a lot of pouting and whining lately...maybe Denver would have been a good fit, he'd have had a kindred spirit in his QB.

I'll cut him some slack. No one is perfect. Plus he said, if it happened, the Saints were his first choice.

It's pretty normal for a guy to stay in division if he leaves his team and as crazy as things are in Denver, it still makes the most sense over KC and Oakland.

LT wanted to be a Bronco.

He must have wanted to pull a Neil Smith and go out a winner.
