Well, almost ... he was WAIVED, which is what "cut" means.

All 31 other teams then have a chance to claim him off waivers based on a W-L record priority. If they claim him, they're claiming his contract. If he clears waivers, then his contract is voided.

Every report I read said he was cut. waived is a term used in the season, at least thats what I understood it to be. Last Friday was the start of the new season. Win/loss record is now 0-0 for all teams and thus his contract is void.

OK Buff I found this which lends credence to your argument because 2 didn't complete 4 years of his contract.

Very interesting ... but actually I think that clause means you were correct after all.

It doesn't matter really ... TO is not the kind of guy Buffalo or Detroit would claim off waivers and force to show up :~ohyah!:

I'm thinking TO ends up on ESPN doing the crap that Michael Irving is doing.

Wow you know things are bad when you get rejected by the raiders and their quest for mediocrity, do you think old al finally learned his lesson?

That's my guess as well. It was actually mentioned in the Buffalo papers about the Bills looking at bringing him in, but it was assumed that he'd turn down Buffalo because he wants a "national stage". The Bills don't know how lucky they are.

I guess that must be the football equivalent of an alcoholic hitting his bottom.

I still think a team will grab him around training camp. Teams seem to forget over time I bet Raiders or Deadskins end up with him.
