Sorry SoCal, I'm not anti-Miami at all as they are my favorite school in Florida and one of my more liked teams, but I must root for Pitt tonight, cause with a Pitt win, the West Virginia Mountaineers become the 2003 Big East champions!!

A 2 point loss to Miami is all that kept the Mountaineers from a clean sweep of the Big East this year. They are currently 8-4, with a 6-1 conference record. If Pitt does win, then both teams will be tied with a 6-1 conference record, the determining factor being head-to-head match-up, in which WVU won 52-31 in the Backyard Brawl.

So let's go Panthers tonight, help out your rival and beat Miami!

DF, but if Pitt wins the bowl game, Pitt gets the BCS Invite as the Big East rep.

Let's see why it matters...oh, because the Big East champions get an automatic BCS bowl bid.

The BCS can sit tight, Miami won pretty convincingly and they are the Big East champs, damn FG as time expires is the only thing keeping the Mountaineers out of it.
