A year or so ago my dad bought a white 2006 vette , he always wanted a white one and liked the new headlights that don't retract , he owned a 2004 blue 50th anniversary edition he got for his 70th birthday and i sold my soul to him and bought it for what he paid and he about stole it when it bought it , so was a deal .

http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/3152/mybabywx2.jpg

But day to day i drive either my turd green sunfire or the old ladies 2006 ram air grand am ... or some crap company pick up lol ..

and besides my 1982 Luv diesel pick-up with 10k miles on it that i only got to drive for a year , that my dad bought and parked for 10 years cause that is just how he is , and then sold it like a moron that is EVERY car i have ever had LOL ...

Still bitter about that Luv tho hehe ... friggen thing would get 55 mpg all day long . was mint in 1993 with less then 5000 miles on it when i started driving it .... looked like this but was blue ... loved that thing , huge mistake to sell.

2000 Mustang. Had it for 9 years now, no major problems so far, has served me very well. Looking for something new soon, not sure which way to go. Really want a used BMW, but I'd like to stay American right now, so I'm trying to think of something else comparable.

First car. 70 1/2 Ford Falcon similar to this but British Racing Green. Looked just like a '71 Torino, but still a Falcon. 302 2bbl auto, bench seats. Sold it to my little brother when I went into the Army. He gave it to some chick he was in love with, no telling where it is now. Hopefully it's still around since it's the last American Ford Falcon.
23471

Second machine. '68 VW bus similar to this bought in the former West Germany. Blew the engine in Munich at Oktoberfest, sold it to another GI for $300, bought the next car the same day in order to get us back to our own kaserne.
23472

Third car. '65 Mercedes 220S similar to this, also bought in the former West Germany, see above. 2.2L I6, dual 2bbl carbs, factory sunroof, 4 wheel independent suspension, 4 speed on the column, probably the best car I've ever owned. That car went all over Europe flawlessly, and it had 120 klicks on it when I bought it. Once in a while you get a superb car, and this was one of them.
23474

4th car. '70 Mercedes 250SE similar to this. Same I6, bigger CC's, auto, FI.
23476

5th machine. '75 Chevy van similar to this. Dumb choice when I got back to the States.

Next was the '80 Buick Skylark similar to this. Sorry, but this is the best photo I could find. I don't have digital photos of these machines. This was a solid car. Excellent digger through show. 3.5L V6 auto.
23478

Next was the '67 VW Westfalia similar to this. Nice camper. Excellent ground clearance, could travel on 4WD roads with chains. I built a 1776cc dual port engine for it after about 6000 miles, that really picked up the performance. I traded the Skylark for it and got $750 cash also. I sold it to some surfer dude in San Diego for $2700.
23479

I'll throw one of my bikes in. 1979 Honda CBX. Badass machine. Six cylinders, six carbs, 1050cc, 105 HP, 7200 rpm redline. Badass machine.
23480

Next came the 1990 Toy PU similar to this. Solid 4cyl 4 spd. Bought it for $5500 new with 12 miles on the odo, sold it for $1600 in 2006 with 198,000 miles on it. Solid machine.
23481

I'll throw another bike in. '81 BMW R65S. Nice machine. 650cc, 5spd, shaft drive like all BMW's. Traded the CBX for the R65 and $1200 cash. In all honesty, that CBX was too much for me. It was too much to handle. Dude I traded it to loved it, he was a roadracer and loved to show people up on Kawi's and Suzuki's with this old 1979 model Honda.

Most interesting was a bright yellow '69 Dodge Charger ... looked great, great features, but just a 318 engine with a 2 bbl carb. That's okay, I wouldda got too many tickets otherwise.

1 st ride ... 1958 Chevy Apache pick up 3 speed on the column ,http://pro.corbis.com/images/42-19077788.jpg?size=67&uid=%7B2462058E-628B-4449-A33D-94B086C888AA%7D

then had a 65 Ford 500 Galaxy ,had the 390 4 bb carb
http://www.americanmuscleonline.com/images/1965%20Ford%20Galaxie%202-dr%20ht/IMAG0003.JPG

then a 1964 ford pick up , damn thing had a hole in the gas tank could only put 10 gallons in ....

1971 Plymouth fury http://www.redsand.de/cctf/pics/092.jpg

Next, a 4wd Tacoma. Nice machine. 16" wheels, great ground clearance, rack and pinion steering, McPherson struts up front, handles great on the twisties, climbs hills and rocks just fine.
23483

Naturally I had to get another bike. The R65 was ok, but I got a nice offer for it and a rifle I was selling, so I sold and bought a '75 BMW R90. Those BMX boxers are superb handling bikes, and simple to work on.
23484

Next, I sold the 90 toy and bought a '92 Diamante LS. Nice car, but FWD. Nice brakes and styling, etc, but the understeer irritated me.
23485

So back to the Mercedes. S500 this time. RWD, V8, smooth powerful car, but a bad choice.
23486

And the latest is the Lexus GS300. Great car. Reliability king. I came back to the straight-six after all this time. The straight-six is a great engine. I'd like to have a manual trans, but only BMW offers a straight-six with a manual trans and I'm wary of BMW's reliability.

The great thing about that car, Hogan, was that it was damn near a real sports car, but it was ultra-reliable. A rare combination.

That generation of Camry's were nice machines. We had a clean '88 wagon. I liked how that looked in the driveway with the two clean Toyota pickups.

Yeah, I had it for it's last two years but it was quite a car. My mom got a solid 14 years out of it before that too...

1988 Ford Thunderbird my parents bought new back in 1988 and then handed down to me in 2002. Sold when we moved to Florida. Ours wasn't the Turbo Coupe though, it was a fully loaded LX with the 5.0 engine. The 1987 model was Motor Trend's Car of the Year.

Now I own a 1994 Mustang GT. Motor Trend's Car of the Year for 1994. :~ohyah!:

I didn't and didn't have a problem. Maybe that was a bad thing.

Had it for a year, my kid grew out of the back seat and I had to get a family car. Thinking about the clubman in the future and their SUV.

That car was the most fun I have had in a car. It really does handle like a go-cart!

Later on when I was 16 I bought a 1962 Plymouth Fury for $473.
It was some ugly shade of brown but a family friend had an auto
body shop and painted it white. Didn't charge anything to paint
it, but I bout the paint and did the prep work. This isn't it,
but this is what it looked like.
