This is one of the reasons I support gay marriage. There aren't a lot of positive role models for gays, and making gay relationships more mainstream and "normal" would go a long way to a healthier self perception and a healthier society.

I have 2 lezbos in my family and refer to them as such. Maybe it is derogatory in a sense. They dont take offense to it.
