The stadium announcer for the Superbowl sounds just like the announcer from Mile High. The one that announced the singing of the National Anthem.

Anyone know if it is the same person?

Edit: It is the Mile High Stadium announcer.... Just heard them say Mr. Roach's name.

:)

Represent for Denver. Hopefully he will make the trip to the SB with Denver in 09.

Well, we may have sucked as a football team but at least we have a kick ass announcer that got to the big game.

2008 OlympicsHe also did the in-rink announcing during the hockey tournaments at the 2002 Salt Lake and 2006 Torino Olympics.

I think he's been doing the Super Bowl since the 2006 game between Pitt and Seattle.

To me his most memorable call was during the Blake Street Bombers heyday whenever Dante Bichette came to the plate. "Now batting, number 10, Daaaanteeeeeee Biiiiiiicheeeeeeette" followed by Peter Gabriel's Sledgehammer.

Yes he stopped doing the rockies games because it demanded too much time from his family. He just started doing Broncos games this past year. But he still did the SB's. He is also on 103.5 the FOX here in Denver. At least the last time I listened he was.

Thats right I forgot about that. They guy should take over doing the Movie Preview voice overs since the guy famous for that passed away. He is a natural for it.
