Correct me if I am wrong........(and i know I am quite often) but isn't Obama supposed to be for the working class???????

So how does creating a bailout plan where ZERO dollars go to the working class, but all to big businesses fit into this theory?

Not only does it not put any money into the middle class pockets, he is going to give these businesses (that already make billions of dollars) money, that the tax payers have to pay back!

IMPEACH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually the way he does his payroll tax thing instead of just lowering the tax brackets gives money to people who didn't even pay any fed income tax. That's getting money to the lowest people on the rung in terms of money.

There's a proposal to give us older folks $500. Doesn't do crap for me. I'd rather they not tax the SS......

which they get everything for free anyways so that doesn't make sense to me.

Well that's his plan. Repubs wanted to lower the lowest tax brackets by 5% I think or something like that. So people making under 40 grand a yr would have really saved some dough.

Oh well I hope Obama knows what he is doing.

not be an asshere but lets look at reality ......
people are poor for 2 reasons ....
1. They are not very bright ( I am in this class)
2. they cant save money ......
giving these 2 aspects , you want to stimulate cashflow , you give it to people who will spend it .....
not people who can afford to put money into savings taking it out of circulation ......

agreed..........but by giving it to big business......all you are doing is making their paychecks bigger, and the american workers have to pay it back.

Thats why i am saying give it to the middle class, and screw big buisness (because its not like they are going to be grateful and give it to their employees)

Here's the thing though, wasn't the stimulus Bush put out this year essentially like giving the people the money and it didn't really do much did it?

Not so say I disagree with giving too much to big business, I think there has to be a way to incentivize bring businesses back to America to get better jobs and better industry. Not sure how to do that myself.

but speed , time is the key here , sure you can give it to big business aka trickle down economics , but as time has shown , that takes awhile , and a lot of the money can be found in offshore bank accounts ... where as the poor people spend it as soon as they get it ........
Trickle down economics only works if everyone plays along , and as history has shown this isnt the case .......

Lot's of folks asking that question these days. Bottom line is, take a good look now, in about 18 months it will be alot different if the stimulus goes through.....and it will...dman
