I always liked #99 and was glad to see that he made a SB team with the Falcons. Reeves liked him a lot as he brought him to Atlanta. Sorry that this has happened and at my same age. Hope to hear more on this one. RIP.

I never had anything bad to say about Dronett. Nothing flashy, but always played hard.

Always liked Dronett. I think I remember he had the sack celebration of "the shovel". Too young. Some articles have said suicide. Very sad. RIP.

Gwinnett police said they responded to a 911 suicide call at Dronett’s Sugarloaf address at 7:30 a.m.

Dronett had a brain tumor that required surgery in the past year, according to former teammates and coaches from the University of Texas, where he was an All-American.

Real sad...RIP

Like others have said, he played hard on every snap and was a solid player.

I just saw this on the ESPN scroll. Sad for his family, I've knew a kid that had this happen in his family. Father was tired of the treatment and being sick.

Tragedy struck him too.

Drozdov is currently quadriplegic due to a neck injury sustained from a failed wrestling maneuver.

Dronett played hard and gave us some decent play. Played some End and some Tackle as well.

We were absolutely emasculated by the 1994 49ers late in the season on a Saturday afternoon at Candlestick. Ricky Watters, William Floyd, Brent Jones, Rice, Deion Sanders, and of course Steve Young just all made us look like fools.

Glyn Milburn and Anthony Miller made big plays that made the game a respectable 35-19 at one point before finishing 42-19 for the eventual champs.

In that game Shane Dronett came clean and put one of the better blind side licks that Steve Young ever took. I'll always remember that sack of Steve Young. RIP Shane.

He was a boxer too, if I remember correctly. I remember hearing that his teammates said he was a tough mofo.

**** yeah. Die with some dignity. I wouldn't have committed suicide in the house. That's going to **** his kids up.

I have my suicide all planned out. If I do commit suicide I'm going to get my 30-30 with the hollow points. I'm going to drive to 7-11 fill my car full of gas. Go into the store with my 30-30 by my side. I'm going to grab me a Super Big Gulp and one of those big bags of beef jerky. Then I will going into the bathroom and eat my Jerky and drink my soda and when I'm done or before the cops breakdown the door I'd blow my brains out.

I do feel bad about the poor 7-11 schmuck that has to clean my brains out of the crevices in the wall but better him than my wife.
