That's right folks, Mission: Impossible 3 will debut this Saturday. Unfortunately Tom Cruise was unavailable, so Ell Roberson will take over him, and lead the Kansas State Wildcats to a victory over the #1 Oklahoma Sooners. It's the showdown for the Big 12 Championship Title.
"Ell Roberson ... your mission if you choose to accept it ... is to walk into Arrowhead Stadium and defeat the Oklahoma Sooners. Your agent partners have been assigned as Darren Sproles and James Terry. Together, you must lead an offensive attack, and rally your defense to beat the enemy. Good Luck Ell. This message will now self destruct in 5 days."

I just hate to imagine where the Wildcats would be had they not lost Ell Roberson for those 4 games. They would've beaten Marshall with him, then I'm sure an on-fire Roberson would've beaten Texas, since he ALMOST did in his first game back from his hand injury. Then with the momentum from that win, I doubt Oklahoma State would've beaten them. But it's a bunch of what-ifs. I still hope Kansas City drafts Ell Roberson in the late rounds. Michael Bishop went in the 7th Round to the New England Patriots in 1998 was it? And Ell Roberson is far better than Bishop was, so I feel that there is a good chance. I'd much rather have Roberson as a backup than Todd Collins, that's for sure.

roberson will never be a starter in the NFL.

SoCalBronco, well, this is my turn to feel what you and other Denver Bronco fans are feeling. I KNOW my team is out of the big game, but knocking out Oklahoma despite them going to the Sugar Bowl would just still be nice to see. Kinda like if the Broncos beat the Chiefs, it wouldn't change a single thing, but it would be nice for you to see.
And Anubis, obviously that post went right over your head. Todd Collins ISN'T a starting quarterback, a career backup, much like Michael Bishop was, that is where I see Ell Roberson at. My point was, I would rather have Roberson as a backup quarterback than Todd Collins, dig it?

Ell Roberson isnt a pro quarterback, no one seriously disputes this. I think Sproles is going to be in the league. He's a pimp.

The way I see it ... Michael Bishop got drafted and made it to the NFL. Ell Roberson is a better overall quarterback than Bishop. Therefore, I think there might be a slight chance Kansas City may draft Ell Roberson in like the 7th Round if I am lucky.

I'll take OU 34-KSU 17 and it will be close until late.

I also think OU will win by more than the 14 pt spread. There is just too many weapons on that team.
The only thing KSU has going for them is that it's going to be in Missoui (arrowhead) and it's suppose to be darn cold. It could make it tough on the passing game.

I'm beginning to think that KSU will make it close. At first I thought it would be a blow out, but they are saying that even if OU loses this game, they still could be in the Championship game.
That would severely lessen the meaning this game has......of course they want to win the conference, but you think they might be looking ahead? Plan on resting players?
I think OU will win, but it could be closer than I first thought; 27-23.

This game is going to have so much controversy around the BCS it's literally going to throw the whole thing into finally adopting the playoffs.
If OU goes to the Sugar Bowl after losing the Conference Championship, I dunno.
I don't think a conference runner up deserves to go to a national championship.
Think about it. Conference runner up in the National Championship?
I am not buying it.

well, its obvious they were not into this game whatsoever. they better hope that the BCS still puts them in the Sugar Bowl cause they didnt help their cause any by losing to a scrub team like the cats. the Sooners looked absolutely bored out there tonight.

Same here Mock. How will they legitimize OU spot in the Championship game after being blown out in the Conference Championship game?

I can't buy a pick to save my life right now.
Oregon State can't cover 21, loses by 25.
I pick LSU and pull it off the table and I expected OU to simply run over KU.
Man.
I suck salty chockolate balls.
LSU just locked their game up.
Wow. Blowouts all around. 31-13.
LSU deserves to go over Oklahoma.

Props to K-state. They are one of the better teams in the country when Roberson is healthy.
But why do you leave your starters in when your up 35-7, with the ball, and under 5 minutes left on the clock? Snyder has no coaching ethics and it will come back to haunt him some day.
P.S. Musberger is a smuck.......

Don't you remember 2001 when CU beat the cornshuckers 62-36? They then played Texas in the Big XII Champ. game and won.
Who played Miami for the NC? That's right, the Big 12 NORTH runner up Cornshuckers. Talk about injustice!
Anyway, congrats to Kansas State.....they played a great game....even if OU did overlook this game a bit. In a way I'm glad to see them win.....I like to see the underdog beat all odds and win when they were told they didn't have a snowballs' chance in hell of winning. They deserve it.
It's going to be real interesting to see what happens tomorrow.:loopy: :juggle:

Hehehe Hinz I'd say 90% of america (including the experts) thought OU would win. Only KSU fans thought KSU would win. So saying that you know more about college football because you picked your favorite team is silly. ;)
KSU played great.... Hats off to the DC for coming up with a game plan that shut down Jason White.
Too bad OU will still be in the Sugar Bowl. I for one am against teams who cant win their own confrence making it to the title game.

Remember who told you that Marshall would beat your Wildcats before you want to run your motuh about calling games.

I remember that, and you're right, they got beat by Marshall without Ell Roberson, the man. Darkhawk, I know, I was kidding about the comment earlier, but if you've ever watched a KSU game, when Roberson is playing, the KSU Wildcats are a tough, tough team to beat. I think Jason White was HIGHLY over-rated with his javeline-looking throwing motion. I just don't see how he could win a Heisman Trophy with that girly-looking throwing motion.
As far as Nebraska going to the title game, that was due to Eric Crouch winning the Heisman Trophy that year. Generally, when your player wins a Heisman Trophy, the media wants that player playing in a very important game. Had Crouch not won the Heisman Trophy, there is no way Nebraska goes to that National Title Game.
On a final note, I don't think Anubis will ever get a clue, or even a remote idea of what he is ever talking about. LOL
