So go ahead and crucify me before you even read this......
Say what you will about the economy (still Clinton's fault), and the "Bush-isms" But GWB will go down as being the first president to fight terror or "terrrr" as he would say.
First.....many of you might disagree......bu people will remmeber 9/11 far more than the bad economy.
Sure predatory lending happened under the Clinton years.....and sure the economy was artificially way over in flated during the Clinton years, and you can ignore that clintons economy bottomed out BEFORE GWB took office (that the tech stocks), and the truck.suv craze that ignited fuel consuption and global wamring (cough: still a bunch of BS).......you can ignore all of that and blame it on GWB..........it doesn't matter because ones things for sure.....
The USA is a safer place today that it was when GWB took over.
One can even argue that 9/11 took place 9 or so months after GWB took office...........but again it was because of years of neglect by Clinton.....who figured if you swept it under the rug, it would go away.
and please the 9/11 conspiracy people....save it for another thread.
I love how people were 100% for the war after 9/11 but after it became popular to hate it, they did.
Or I love how people sit there and b**** about having to wait in security at the airport...........and then refuse to get on a plane because one of the passengers has a turbin on his head.
I love how people wear NYFD or NYPD t-shirts and hats.........then criticize the war to kill these ****ers.
But the one thing that made GWb a great president is that he stood up for what he beleived in and didn't cave to unpopular opinion. To that we can be grateful. Without him and his regime you hate so much, imagine how many buildings could be piles of rubble right now and how many american lives would have been lost bot currently and in the future if he didn't do anything about it for the last 8 years.
So here is a salute to the man that brought national security back to being the most important thing an American can have.
And to all the GWb haters.....here is something for you!

No the sad thing is this guy believes what crap he just posted. GWB will go down as the worst president in the history of the US. He is an embarrassment to the once proud republican party. He single handedly killed the republicans and what they stood for. And would almost say he deserves to be charged with treason.
IBOAB is on the same level with StormonThePlains who said this disgrace to our country and its founders was his hero. Its disgusting really. The sad thing is IBOAB is good people but yet he regurgitates this tripe. For someone to call the man who destroyed our country and what it stood for a hero just astounds me.

It's a shame that changing presidents doesn't automatically clear out all the morons, and that the 22% take such pride in their ignorance that they feel compelled to try and shout down the 78% that think they're fools. There will be land opening up down in Crawford, Texas soon. Move there, where you can bask in the proximity of your idiot king.
Before you Rightards go off rewriting the history of Dubya (like you tried with Nixon) I suggest you do an in-depth study into the day by day activities of George Bush for the eight months leading up to 911 - the worst attack on American soil in history. You want to pretend he did good since 911 (even though he used 911 to lie us into attacking the wrong country) but you refuse to face the fact that his stupidity and arrogance allowed 911 to happen in the first place.

America has been moving away from conservative ideals since 2006! The voting demographics have changed in this country. When Reagan won in 81, you can say America was a conservative nation. However, 2008 proved that conservative voting numbers could not show up mass to off set the number of democrat voters that showed up. Hence, Obama beat McCain by over 9 million votes!!!!
Conservatives lost seats in the Congress in 2006 and 2008 and 5 conservatives Senators will not run for re-election btwn 2010 and 2012. That doesn't sound like those Repub. senators think conservatism is any longer a viable ideology.
The GOP will need to change their platform and become more inclusive and diversified with people of color. No longer can the Republican party win the WH with 93% of the White vote, 5% of the Hispanic vote, and 3% of the black vote.

keep fooling yourself, while ignoring the fact that elected republicans almost completely abandoned their principles as well as scandalous activity prior to '06. Then as an encore they nominated a checkpants miquetoasty republican to succeed a pretty liberal republican.
Remember, 2002 and 2004 did not happen that long ago. And a large portion of Americans did not just say "hey, think I will do a complete switch and be a liberal now." If you actually think that then you are delusional, but even if this scenario did play out, wtf makes you think this portion of voters won't switch back next election? It was more a "we elected the ****ers to do this this and this, they didn't do it, so the hell with em. Im either gonna vote the other guy or not vote."
Obama and the new congress better govern from the center rather than be leftist idealogues or Nancy and Harry will lost seats in a couple years and The One will be a 1 term president.

Then we deal with it. Bush didn't do squat to prevent the attack on 9-11, he just sat there dumbfounded as always as the reports and warnings were passed on to him. Then he talked **** and used the attacks to further his pre-determined plan to attack a nation which had nothing to do with 9-11.

this post is just stupid, its hard to understand how anyone can say what we are doing is right when its only killing the economy of this country. everyone blames obama for being a democrat and democrats spend money, it will be all but impossible for him to spend 1/2 of what bush spent on a war that did nothing to improve the national security of this country. to bankrupt a country to settle a grudge between your dad and a country is stupid, and bush did it.

That would be illogical.
Clinton took terrorism seriously enough to proactively go after it (subs in the Persian gulf, cruise missile strikes on camps, etc.); not enough, obviously, as he bailed due to the political pressure that comes with blow jobs. Bush, in large part, paid no heed to any warnings (in fact going on a month-long vacation as some of the strongest terror reports were coming in). Read the books of those around him; the lack of respect towards the threat is appalling. If we get hit and Obama had the same apathy, which I doubt in a post-9/11 world, he'd deserve all the blame he'd get. But I doubt Obama will get a report saying bin Laden is planning to hijack planes and use them as weapons and then respond by going on vacation.
There were more than 40 intelligence articles in the PDBs from January 20 to September 10, 2001, that related to Bin Ladin. The PDB is considered highly sensitive and is distributed to only a handful of high-level officials...
Post-9/11 narrative was that they didn't "see it coming".
Why the Bush admin. gets a total mulligan here, much less shifting the blame unto a previous presidency that at times was criticized for using too much force in targeting terrorism, is beyond me.

This problem is bigger than Bush (although I would argue that he has done everything possible to exacerbate it). We we're attacked in 1993, and again in 2001. Clinton had an attack early in his term and did not experience another. Just as Bush did.
The difference being that after 9/11 we had the political capital here and abroad to really begin to begin to effectively combat terrorism. That was completely squandered.

To say nothing of the fact that the House Repukes shot down almost every last CT measure Clinton wanted (thanks to pressure from their meal tickets in the airline and banking industries and the NRA, etc.)
Ironically, Bush implemented the same airport security measures Clinton proposed (and the House repigs blocked) after 9/11 - measures that probably would have prevented the attacks.

I would only blame Obama if he did something that made us easy to attack. Any major attack would be planned so far in advance most likely would overlap.
Obama doesn't seem to talk soft, IMO he seems to have a carrot/stick approach that may work well after Bushes boot in the ass theory.

I was being sarcastic. The only people I can see to blame are the ones that do the attack. Bush may have implemented the Patriot Act and that may have prevented some copy cat attacks and some loonies desire for publicity, but it mostly just infringed on our rights. I'm sure the terrorists, i.e., Osama Bin Laden, laughed his ass off at what 9/11 accomplished as far as our freedoms and our fears. In some peoples views Clinton did little but we didn't have another attack on American soil for 7 1/2 years. Seems to me they are just slow planners.
No I do not have a problem with the airport inconveniences, things like that (wiretaps, YES) it just is not going to stop another attack and it's stupid to find someone to blame besides the attackers.

I still see Kerry stickers...who cares
No reason to be embarrassed about a Kerry sticker (but I wouldn't expect you to see the difference.)

Anyone who puts stickers on there car should be embarrassed. No way I'm going to mess up my ride with an ugly sticker. Especially for some politician who doesn't even know I exist.
ASS GRASS or Gas no one rides for free makes more sense.

I have an American flag sticker on the back window of my pick-up.
No matter who is the president, that is still my flag.

I don't like stickers on my car either, but that's beside the point.
If you're going to put a bumper sticker on your car, then there's a lot more reason to be embarrassed over a Bush sticker than a Kerry sticker.
The only thing political bumper stickers advertise is that your ideology is simplistic and that you're a simpleton.
