This leaves the door open for Schottenheimer to take the OC job in Detroit. Not sure where Bates would go then. Maybe Tampa Bay to pair with Morris?

I loved Buddy Ryan and his contempt for QB's. That Eagles defense with Andre Waters, Reggie White, Clyde Simmons, Seth Joyner, Byron Evans, Wes Hopkins , Eric Allen , Jerome Brown..they were a sight to behold. The eagles could never find a running game--as much as they tried with Keith Byars and Anthony Toney, Heath Sherman..if they would have been able to get a top 10 running game--they would have played for some championships.......
