The Arizona Cardinals? Are you kidding me? What an improbable season for that franchise.

So it comes down to two: who do you want to win and who do you think wins?

I'm going with the Cardinals. They are having one of those cinderalla seasons ala the Rams and Patriots from a while back. You keep thinking that they can't do it, but they keep doing it.

Cards..

Defense is solid (Steeler offense sucks), and their Offense will eventually get it done within the 4 quarters.

Ditto.

The Cards have a bunch of high-class guys as major contributors. They're a fun group to root for.

I would like the Cards to win, but to be realistic, The Steelers are a better team. The wildcard is coach wissenhunt. He knows a great deal still about the Steelers and what they can / cannot do.

As much as I loathe their fans, I can see the Steelers tearing the Cards to shreds. They again, Arizona just put 32 on the #3 Defense in the NFL.

I'll be rooting for the Cardinals but I think the Steelers will manhandle them TBH.

Warner ain't no Joe Flacco. Steelers will need more than 16 offensive points to beat the Cards. Warner is one of the best at beating the blitz. He'll get sacked a few times, but he'll throw some bombs to Fitz too. The key to the game will be pass protection and resulting turnovers. And the Arizona defense has been nasty at forcing turnovers this postseason.

Bad? What is this, a joke?

Aaron Francisco is an all-pro safety.

Aaron Francisco will be the Super Bowl MVP.

Even if Arizona loses.

My heart says the Cardinals but my head says the Steelers.

I'm sure glad that I didn't take Baltimore this week. I thought 6 might be a big point spread for this game. Boy was that wrong.

Ditto...They have sucked for soo long, I almost feel sorry for them. The only reason I could think of not pulling for them is Lienhart. But he's basically a spectator anyways, and if he had to go in as qb, the Cards are porked.

No prediction on a winner but you have the Steelers going for a record 6th Super Bowl win vs the oldest franchise in the NFL entering their first Super Bowl (the Cardinals did win two NFL Championships).
I'm rooting for the Cards.

I dont know if anyone else noticed, but Leinart was conspicuously hanging around the camera during the NFC Championship trophy presentation.

I guess that he doesnt realize that he looked even more like the loser who couldn't get out from underneat the 37 year old Warner.

Cards were 45:1 long-shots to win the SB at the start of the season... and were still 40:1 long-shots to win it all when the playoffs started!

That's the real x-factor, and it's a point that will no doubt get analyzed to death over the next 2 weeks, and while I agree that the Steelers are the better team, I'm rooting for the Cardinals.

Cardinal's O vs. Steelers D -- Advantage Steelers (#1 D, but Cards are hot and their coordinator is calling all the right plays, evens out the discrepancy a bit)

Steeler's O vs. Cardinal's D -- Slight Advantage Cardinals (assuming the Cards D keeps applying pressure like they have, and causing turnovers, they have the speed and size to stay with the Steeler O. I have no reason to believe Clancy Pendergast will step off the gas for this game)

Steeler's special teams vs Cardinal's special teams -- Slight advantage Cardinal's (playing in a warm-weather stadium will neutralize whatever advantage the Steeler's would have gained from inclement weather kicking conditions).

So...again, the x-factor, and momentum has me thinking a Cardinal's victory is realistic.

Go Cards, but the Steelers will destroy them.

Nobody is getting destroyed. Put the bottle down and relax.

The Steelers gave up 14 points to a Ravens team with a rookie QB and no RB and average WR's. The Ravens offense is pathetic. I think a Superbowl QB, 2 of the games top 5 WR's, and 2 very good RB's plus a solid OL will give the Steelers a battle.

Destroyed.............hahhahahah.

I believe the Cards have played the much tougher teams coming through the playoffs then the Steelers have.

This reminds me of 97 when the Broncos went through a tough playoff race to reach the Superbowl and everybody was saying how the Packers were just gonna "destroy" them. That's why the play the games bro.

I think the Cardinals man handled the best team in the NFL already (Carolina). I don't see why they can't beat the Steelers. I think it's a coin flip. They're playing with incredible passion, and the Steelers are hardly dominant.

You did see how those points were scored right? A punt return sets up the Ravens inside the 20. Then a craptastic punt leads to a PI in the endzone and they get their other TD. Other than that the Ravens didn't do squat. The Steelers will be able to stop the run with 7 in the box and focus on making Warner's life a living hell. This game is not going to be pretty. The only way the Cards stay close is if Big Ben plays like crap.

The Cardinals were ranked #1 in post-season defense going into today, and have taken the ball away from opponents 11 times. That's an insane pace.

Can they continue playing out of their heads on defense like this? If so, they'll win.

Again, people will want to make this game about Warner, but it's Arizona's defense that will decide this game. We know Kurt will get his yards... win OR lose.

The question is, can Arizon continue the freakish tear they've been on, defensively. They showed a few cracks in the armor today, but also could have probably put the game away if they don't fumble away that 2nd quarter interception.

Pittsburgh will bring it. They're a properly constructed championship team. that organization knows what they're doing. But, Arizona has a chance if they look like they did the last few weeks.

The Steelers' defense...and a healthy Willie Parker... will make the difference in this game, imho... the Cards do play in the weakest division in the NFL and although they've upset two tough opponents, the early line is Pittsburgh by 6.5...

Drek

Cards by a TD or more.

There isn't a player in the Steelers secondary who cans top Fitzgerald and two guys will have a hard time of it. The Eagles have GOOD corners and he manhandled them. What're the Steelers CBs going to do?

They'll need to keep him pretty perpetually doubled and that is playing into Warner's hands. He's great at finding the open man when teams do that and if they go heavy trying to stop Fitz he'll tear them apart with Boldin, Breston, etc..

Also the Cards running game started to rotate back to Hightower more in the Eagles game and I'm willing to bet they feel they've found another hot hand there like they did with Edge in their first couple playoff games.

On the other side of the ball for both teams I just don't see the Steelers weak offense holding up so well. The Cards do generate decent pressure and against the Eagles, Panthers, and Falcons they were getting after the QB pretty well. The Steelers OTs are weaker than any of the afore mentioned teams and when you get after Ben he can make some stupid mistakes. Mistakes a young, highly athletic secondary can take full advantage of.

Most analysts will pick the Steelers but I think the Cards are going to shock everyone and put a hurt on 'em, fast.
