A long string of recent examples continues this year with a 2nd year coach taking his team to the Superbowl... the Cardinals, no less.

Just sayin'.

9-7 to boot.
Did that not look like Denver Broncos football in the early season

Big lead at halftime
Nothing offensively and let the team back in in the 3rd
Put one drive together in the 4th and hang on
Only difference is our D would not hang on

I believe Denver needs to put together a D similar to ARI. No big name 1st rounders except DRC who we have in Champ. Needs an outside pass rusher, IBLer and S. Denver can become as good on D as ARI is right now

Did you know Kurt Warner once bagged groceries? I just heard that for the 1st time just now - incredible! Who knew?

Proves there are multiple ways to build a team to go to the big dance. In this case, a pass first team is in...imagine that.

Fun Fact: The cardinals are the only NFL team to have never beat Denver.

Wrong.

Pass first in the regular season but in the playoffs they have run and STUCK WITH THE ****ING RUN even when it wasnt working. They ran on first down almost every time.

I hate stupid people that dont pay attention.

I would like to say congratulations to the Cards for losing their SB virginity. They may not win it all and it may be painful and uncomfortable that first time, but at least they have broken the barrier and made it to their first Superbowl in Franchise history. Congrats! Woo Hoo!

Really? Cool. Sometimes I can't tell because the trend in some of your posts leans toward the smarta%%ery side (not that there is anything wrong with that, better then the alternative, you could be like Bobo).

you know, I'm too young to have watched Jerry Rice in his absolute prime. Was he ever as dominant as Fitz this postseason?

Great story how and who he learned from to get to where he is today ( did you see it)?

Weird how Anquan Boldin was flaming the offensive coordinator ... ???

He's a great receiver too, but the team decided to spend its $$$ on Fitzgerald. Some team will get very lucky when Boldin signs with them ... he is awesome, too.

Denver can become as good on D as ARI is right now

Did you know that the AZ D gave up 47 or more pts 3 times in regular season? Now they are playing well in post season but they can be had that is for sure.

Different styles. Rice was dominant but wasn't as physically dominating as Fitzgerald is.

If it helps you, think of McDaniels as Obama... taking over a promising yet troubled entity.

Though, I guess that means Shanny is George Bush.

Never mind.

Wow, why did I think it was his third year?

Anyway... pretty impressive.

The NFL is a very fluid thing, these days. Fortunes turn quickly in either direction.

You have to admire an organization like Pittsburgh that can win so consistently. People want to fight me on it... but I truly believe Pitt's brass understands that defense and running the football is not a luxury, it's a foundation, and hence... they always have both and always seem to be in the hunt.

They have the most physical front 7 in the league.

Its no wonder that they have had success.
