View Full Version : Things I Personally KNow About Josh McDaniel

It was a game where we came in as contenders, we came out as pretenders. It was a game where the New England QB Sam Cassel came in as a guy who had once been a second team QB in college, He came out of the game as an NFL star. It was a game where we came in having surprised teams with very good success in our 3-4 & 4-3 alignments. It was a game where we came out and abandoned the 3-4 look altogether this season. It was a game where we came in thinking we had some pretty good coaching on defense, it was a game where we came out feeling like maybe they were naive in their understanding of defense. It was a game where Josh McDaniel came onto the field and basically said, let me show you what you don't know about a 3-4 defense. Our players were caught off guard and out of position all night.

It was the game that changed our season really. We were utterly exposed and humiliated. So I'm thinking I know more about Josh McDaniel than I realized. Know wonder he had the executives excited about his plans for our team. He had already completely dissected us earlier this year.

Yes we were. At home on national TV. One of those games that made the more rational Denver Broncos fans start to seriously ponder whether it was time to go in a different direction...

When someone really tries to make a good point why do people jump down his throat. We are complaining about all the bull shiit around and here a guy is making a good effort to make a valid point and ya'll try to run him off.

Our defense made EVERY offense look good, this year. That doesn't prove that Josh McDaniels is special. It just proves he's competent to run an offense. Cassell didn't just come out of the blue this year. He's been the backup for a few years and has played occasionally before this year.

We also learned that Jay got hurt on one of his first throws (don't remember if it was the first), We learned that our RBs were cursed.

Yes, Matt Cassel lit our D up, but we know that Sam Cassel could have as well. We made just about every QB we faced this year into Dan Marino.

Has not started since HS and probably played himself into starter money this FA period.

I can't believe it hasn't been mentioned, but Jay Cutler also hurt his throwing hand on one of the first pass plays of the game. He basically couldn't really throw the ball after that, even though he tried. That game was an abberation, especially considering Champ going down too.

Its Matt Cassel, Coach Belichick and Josh McDaniels people.

Sam Cassel was a NBA player.

Coach Billick is the former Ravens HC and the butt of many a funny Coors Light Commercial.

I dont know who McDaniel is but I bet he wears a kilt.

Need to apologize for errors in my post. I confess I was writing quickly before I went to work. So I realize I must be fired. So what, the Mastermind was fired too and I don't get paid as much as I'd hoped for in doing this anyway ;-)

I appreciate the deju vu experience many of you provided though. I was reminded of the scrawney High School Nerd snearing and snorting as fixed his taped glasses, to correct an obvious slipup. The rest of the class would just smile as he enjoyed his supposed brilliance. We had empathy, we knew he was going to get beatup and his lunch money taken as soon as class was over. We knew he'd get older and never leave mom's basement. Or if he did, he would marry some mail order brides from Russia who would leave him as soon as they got into the country.

So to those on this forum who like to just share information, I apologize. I slipped a rather large chunk of nerd bait onto the forum and created a feeding frenzy.

To change the subject just a little. Even though it's been mentioned endlessly on this forum that our Broncos owner Todd Bowlen wore a fur coat in the previous millienium. I think he's a great owner.

I also think that Pat Shanahan is going to wait it out a couple of years and see if he can get his old coaching job back.

...Oops, I think I just slipped some more bait out there. I can't wait to see who the first one will be to emerge from Mom's basement to take a bite ;-)
