If you've ever read the book "ROMO", he was the de-facto nutritionist for the Super Bowl teams. No steroids, either. He knows his stuff when it comes to nutrition. I like it.

He played 16 seasons and played 243 consecutive games. He played a pretty physical style of football and never suffered a serious injury. Maybe he might know something to help the Broncos stay healthy. And steroids don't help people stay healthy, if anything they make a person more susceptible to injury.

TheReverend

Absolutely. But if he played in today's NFL he'd never pass a test.

What a bunch of know nothing sheep.

Romo learned how to stay on the field, in 14 years he hardly missed a game his whole career, he made himself about twice as good as he might have been through nutrition. Everybody here has been whining all season long about how players can't stay on the field and here we got a proven expert that may be the very best person in the world when it comes to doing what it takes to have the most healthy body possible nutritionally and you want to kick him to the curb. That's stupid. I hope Romo takes the job, he will be huge in preventing injuries.

Someone PLEASE tell me that picture of that dude isn't real. No one could actually look like that...Photoshop, right?

I cheered for him and defended him while he played, but Romo was a dirty player, both on and off the field. He cheated, plain and simple, and is tainted. I want him no where near my team. There is no reason to think he knows more about nutrition than someone like an...oh, I don't know, nutritionist?

Romo knows his ****. i don't remember him ever getting busted for testing positive for banned substances. he admitted to doing whatever it took to stay at the top of his game and took substances that aided him but were legal at the time. whenever one of his supplements became illegal he stopped using it. i honestly would not worry about our players getting busted for banned substances.

One more thing I always admired about Romo, he never left anything on the field. No matter what the score was, he was playing with a non-stop motor looking to knock some poor chap's dick in the dirt.

The NFL first implemented a steroid-testing policy in 1989, and its current plan has been in place since 1993.

I think it's a great idea. I'm sure there are plenty of NFL players that could be in better shape if they actually followed a nutritional diet. It would assist our players with their strength, conditioning, and on field endurance to have someone knowledgeable about nutrition and supplements on the team. I'm all for it.

Yes, what baja said.

Love him or hate him, Romo ate rocks and shat gunpowder when he played. He rarely, very rarely missed a game. The guy performed week in and week out and wasn't one of the "tub crew". Our guys could use some of his toughness.
