That was always a favorite of mine too! lol

EDIT: Actually, take heart! McDaniels uses that phrase in this video: http://www.patriots.com/mediacenter/index.cfm?ac=VideoNewsdetail&pid=34417&pcid=82&searchstring=McDaniels

"Anytime you have a chance to work on things where you donít have a certain opponent to prepare for..."

This is a GOOD OMEN!

"That's the nature of this business"

and Shanahan never called the league the NFL. he always called it "the National Football League"

"Well anytime your a coach or a player in the National Football League, you gotta get it done"

I hope everyone realizes how impressive this McDaniels is. Is it not obvious what enamored Bowlen and our FO?

Give it like 2-3 yrs of stress and he will look 76.

I'm not surprised. Every time I watched pats last 2 yrs, this yr especially I would think to myself wow that's some good play calling. I think it's a great pick because like Shanny McDaniels is adept at getting good matchups and always seems to keep defense guessing.

I'm looking forward to seeing a young creative coach use this gun of Cutlers and this great oline to really get a potent offense going.

Anyone have any ideas when the press conference with Bowlen and McDaniels will take place?

We'll have to see if Josh will adopt Belichick's postgame demeanor, i.e. muttered one word answers to every question.

Hahaha I really hope not. I hope he only takes the wisdom of the evil emperor.

No we won't. Listen to his extended explanations he gives in his press conferences as OC. He's much more social.

Has he dropped that one yet?
