Lots of gun fire every so once in a while and there where some pretty big explosions earlier. Pretty crazy what technology can do now a days, I can watch people slaughter each other live from the comfort of my couch :-/...

Until you admit you were wrong about Jordan participating in the first arab/Israeli war I have nothing to say to you. I even went as far to ask someone who teaches history, who is sympathetic to the palestinians, who hates Bush, who is a Democrat, who I greatly respect for his knowledge and he confirmed that Jordan was part of the first war and in fact was a major player.

This guy has a masters degree in history so i think he probably knows.

I am doing some research on the Jordan question to try to determine the actual extent of the collusion between ben Gurion and king Abdallah. It's possible I misinterpreted their secret agreement. I've been wrong before. I just checked out Benny Morris' new book on the 1948 war.

The far bigger issue, however, which you and other knee jerks refuse to face -- is the truth about Zionism. You blame the Arabs for rthe 1948 war -- but if you check it out you will discover that the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians had been underway for months BEFORE the 1948 war started.

The UN partition resolution was in November 1947. Within weeks after that the Zionists had begun driving thousands of Palestinians from their homes. The Der Yassein massacre -- staged by the Zionists -- was in April 1948.

The war did not start until May 1948.

According to Palestinian scholar Sami Hadawi, author of BITTER HARVEST, by then the Zionists had already driven out 300,000 Arabs. It looks like the Arab armies intervened NOT to massacre Jews or drive them into the sea -- the usual canard -- but to stop the ethnic cleansing of fellow Arabs.
