Its gonna be great around here for quite a while. The VENOM that is flowing around here!

I like the hire. I would really like to get McDermott as DC, but we'll just have to see.

I want to see some progress this year. More points, tougher defense.

3 years is unacceptable.

He needs to win now or why fire Shanny.

Bowlen expects to win every year so I am expecting it from now on.

No coach can win now with the D players Shanny brought in. When you have 2 legit starters on D it takes more than a year to fix.

So you're making a pact to be a huge pile of douche on here? Awesome. We don't have enough of those.

He doesnt have three years. Shanahan could have gotten us there in 2 years with a better DC.

That point is moot considering that he refused to go find a better DC. If he had fired Slowik he'd still be HC, if the reports are true.

3? How bout 2?

wait... how about next year...

My expectations are playoffs every year and I hope thats his as well.

Right now from the outlook we hired a young Shanahan with no HC experience and to replace the experience and proven Shanahan.

Time will tell if "it was time for a change" was for the best.

I freaking hope so. I hope this pleases Bowlen because after all he is "in charge"

You're a ****in idiot if you think the Broncos organization would hire a 32 year old coach and giving him a 3 year life line to make the super bowl. Hilarious! How long did it take Shanahan?

Nevermind, you are a ****in idiot, so I expect you to think that.

Well then not making it for 3 straight years should seal the deal for you why they fired Shanny the GM.

Just so you know, its hard to be offended when its someone who refers to himself as "Playa" calls you names. Its more amusing than anything.

exactly. this year will be we need to get deep in the playoffs at the least, and by year 2 we need to be holding a lombardi trophy or there was no reason letting Mike go.

3 years without playoffs is unacceptable, agreed there. Especially this year, dang it.

I just dont like losing the only coach Ive had since being a fan, it will sting awhile.

Look at our schedule.

Maybe, but doesn't the rest of the division play basically the same lineup? Plus, you never really know a year in advance who the tough teams are. A year ago we were licking our chops over getting Atlanta and Miami on the schedule.

Nope, unlike the rest of the division, we get the added bonus of the Pats and Colts!!

Yes he will!

But so would have Shanahan! In fact, most of the reasons why McDaniels will take us to the Promised Land are the result of Shanahan's brilliance. We're set up beautifully with an unstoppable offensive nucleus and a ton of draft picks and cap space.

I think McDaniels/Goodman will be able to apply those draft picks and cap space to turn this team into anything they want. And I have a ton of trust in McDaniels and Goodman. We're talking about the offensive mind and the best Draft Day GM this league has seen in the last 2-3 years.

Yep. Shanahan was going to win here again as well. Those of you thinking that Josh McDaniels is somehow an upgrade over the best offensive mind in the game/future HOFer/Belichick pwner Mike Shanahan have completely lost your minds.

who better to take down the Pats than a a former coach of the enemy? also, we finally have the fire power necessary to go toe to toe with the colts.

i don't think our schedule will be that brutal next season, and we will be improved over what we were this year.

The schedule next year is actually my biggest concern. It's bloody brutal. It's like what Cleveland's schedule was this year. Scary. I think we will pull through it though.

C'mon, SoCal, you know better than that. The landscape of our schedule will look different after week 5 of next year. This is the NFL.

Pittsburgh, Dallas, New England, Baltimore, Washington, Indianapolis and the NY Giants are not going to all somehow start magically sucking next year.

Let's try something different: Let's be realistic. I'm willing to give McDaniels a mulligan for 09 because of that schedule. He has to keep continuing the good work that Shanny started in building the team up. It will take at least another year...esp with the schedule.
