We are rid of Bill Johnson for good, he has just been hired by the Saints to ruin their DL.
If you are anywhere near where Crowder, Dumervil, Moss or Thomas are at the moment make sure they don't drive home because they should be celebrating, their careers may be saved!

Praise Foneco!
No seriously, someone actively sought him out? Maybe they thought it was a different Bill Johnson?

Was that announced somewhere? Last thing I read, there was a decent chance he was staying. I hope the **** not.

Not that I'm not glad he's gone, but I thought he was under contract still. Does the whole "Lateral move" thing not apply to position coaches?

From the link:
He has been a highly coveted assistant this offseason, with Green Bay -- another team looking to fill defensive coaching spots -- and others also expressing interest in bringing him in.
WTF?!?

PFTs Take:
The New Orleans Saints don’t have a defensive coordinator.
But they reportedly do have a defensive line coach.
Per the New Orleans Times-Picayune, the Saints will hire Bill Johnson, former defensive line coach of the Denver Broncos.
Unless the Saints already have a deal in place with a coordinator or have cleared the Johnson hire with all candidates, it’s an unusual approach, to say the least.

must have been REALLY coveted for a team to hire him without a DC. gotta look at the talent we gave him too...not that tehy are absolutely horrible, but definitely not game breakers either.

the talkbacks might as well be Denver fans. What's funny is that they say our talent sucked so it wasn't coaching, but their talent is underachieving and just need a new coach.

Well we will see how happy they are about mid season.
The main question is:
What does this hiring say about our head coach hiring?

Please remember, Johnson coached the interior defensive line. Meaning he was responsible for the DT's. Our DT's weren't great, but they weren't bad either. Our DE's were terrible. That was Burney's responsibility and he's a bum.
Elvis is a bum!!! Moss needs to be coached up and that's all I can say about our other DE's because the rest should be cut right away!!!
The point is...Johnson might not have been too bad...just hidden behind Burney and that waste of a DC Sloprick!
