Oh, well that explains the guy who showed up at my door tonight. I thought he was a certified masseuse. He said the Pink Bikini was his uniform and that I had won a free massage. Yes I am very excited. I can't wait to see everything over there, I really want to see Italy, that was where my grams was from and just to see something beyond the US (and my trips to TJ and Nogales do not count). And I have told a # of people here they are welcome to visit. They are paying my living expenses over there and I am going to have a huge, sweet house. If Denver gets one of the Int'l games over there the I fully expect an OM party. I am going to be 25 miles from London.

I heard there is something called the Chunnel, where you can drive over to the continent. I keep thinking it's a horror movie, like Chud or something

Moving to another state is one thing but to leave the country is never easy i would imagine but you will enjoy it and have a killer chapter in your life written.

No definitely not easy and the logistics are a real pain in the a%%. Admittedly I am a little tired of moving. I left AZ 4 years ago, 1 year in KC and 3 in CO (and 3 different jobs with the same agency in that time frame, all promotions). But I have return rights to Denver at the end of my time in England. And hopefully I will be able to come home for visit.

In between my kegerator good beer. I DO NOT make it a habit. By the way make sure you see Germany. The place that invented good Beer. The town my parents lived in had a Brewery that was 450 years old. Gambrinus, great beer. But you can't go wrong with real German Beer.

Miss I.
01-10-2009, 07:34 PM
I enjoy good German Beer, had some at a place called the Hoffraus House in Cincinatti (has to be something good there).

But I am with Sassy, Merlot and Cabernet's are excellent drinks. I had this wine the other day, Menage A Trois (funny name) which was equal parts Cab, Merlot and Zin, it was quite good and I was quite relaxed after drinking a glass, and nearly dancing on tables on 2 glasses.

If you want good beer go to the Czech republic, after all that is where the Pilsener style beer was born. If you do go to Germany make sure you get propper Weiss beer, specifically from Bavaria which is second to the Czech republic in terms of beer history.

Now that's just silly. The Cook's Champage is more likely to turn me Bi then to get me to deny it, therefore if I deny it under the influence of this crap it must be true. Follow that logic chain.;D

Seriously, you're one of my favorite posters, co-workers, and a good friend to boot!

Not many on here know I'm sure but our very own Miss Independent has been offered (and accepted) a choice position in England. It won't limit her posting (or emails I imagine! ;p) but she won't have the opportunity to join any of the Maners at camp or the games this upcoming season. She'd probably prefer I not tell you this, but she is a convert. I snatched her up from the reeling Chefs which was not that difficult after they traded away her boy, Jared Allen. I'll have you all know that I endured lots of "shiat" from her to include Chef cups, lanyards, and a Yellow and Red toothbrush with an arrowhead on it... it is ready to be donated to OF1 to clean the toilets!!!

At any rate, congrats my friend and I'm happy for you but will miss you at the same time. Keep up the great posting and don't take no shiat from Spider!

Interesting you started with Zin Sass, it's actually a complex wine to start out on. I usually break people in with Merlot then move to Cab's or Zins as they acquire the taste. Go find a decent Rosenblum Zin at 20 bucks or so and you may find you like it again.

Lexipedia, I am going to kill you, keeeellllll you. You were never supposed to mention my checkered football history. You are evil, eveeellll. For the record, I lived in KC for a year and they made me drink terrible things and forced me to watch the games. It was terrible, sob, sob, oh dear God. And now Lexie, your inbox at work is going to get hit with so much stuff covered in pictures of Bobo and the Chiefs, you will be relieved when I move to England.

All smacktalk aside Alex, I am going to miss my lil brother with the TX twang and penchant for girlie coffee (White Mocha with whipped cream). You kept me sane in a decidedly chaotic office, fixed me (your words not mine you freak) by getting me to realize my connection to the Broncos went beyond attending their first Superbowl win. I thank you for introducing me to OM. I have learned a lot from this site (some of which will require years of therapy to forget).

You too have been a good friend, great colleague and like a brother that I actually like having around. Going to miss giving you grief and having some really fun B.S sessions. As for Spider, don't you worry, I can handle him, I mean deal with him, dang it I can't help it.

Take care Lexipedia.

Interesting you started with Zin Sass, it's actually a complex wine to start out on. I usually break people in with Merlot then move to Cab's or Zins as they acquire the taste. Go find a decent Rosenblum Zin at 20 bucks or so and you may find you like it again.

2002 Kistler Chardonnay, Cuvee Cathleen. Amazing bottle of wine.

Maybe it was the Zin I was drinking...I liked plain simple...Beringer.
I don't like "dry".
But I have found I like some cheaper wines rather than the more expensive ones.

Girlie coffee? Who the hell drinks that stuff?

I don't think you ever met Maj. Pack, he was a Army Ranger that was detailed to our office to fill a military billet. Good friends with "Nancy" and a big time adrenaline junky. Broke his back one day riding out here in Castle Rock, then proceeded to get "Nancy" in trouble with the commander. He claimed that he was pushed off the hill by your other brother. Man those two used to go at it. There would be spare bike parts for sale all over the office... sometimes on Craigslist too! He would "steal" the parts off of Dan's bike at work and then put them up for sale. Chains, Wheels/tires, Seats, etc. Well Dan got him back when the good Major put new tires on his 4x4. That very evening he went over to his house (live here in CR as well) and let the air out of not one, not two, but all of the tires! Swore up and down that it wasn't him. We'd play combat racquet ball too. Go into work with big ass whelps all over... we'd walk in and Gina would ask first who won and second, who took the most punishment! Anyhow, the Major and your buddy Lloyd got me started on the White Mochas. I had never even been to a Starbucks before moving to Denver.

If you ever see a Bella Zin buy it it's yummy.

No I did not meet Pack, but I heard about him from you and Nancy. And what is with the biggest goofballs from our office living in CR? Is there something in the water. And are you sure you guys got the ass whelps from racquetball? Or is that some euphemism manly guys use? ;D So did he force the white mocha on you or something? And I had not been to Starbucks until Colorado Springs either. In fact, I didn't start drinking it until about 1 year ago, now I am an addict. Oh well, thanks for being my buddy Alex. Without your friendship I am pretty sure I would've damaged C or T by now.;D

Hmmph, I beg to differ, here is what you said: "Go into work with big ass whelps all over" See you said big ass whelps.

As for T, he's a good guy, but I have to repeat everything I say to him 5 or 6 times. It gets tedious. The other one is a hyperactive rabbit on crack and sometimes I can handle it and other times the only reason I did not go off was because you calmed me down.

As for fixing me, I think you warped me more, though your girl Nancy has contributed even more. That must be the Navy thing. But either way I enjoyed it.
