View Full Version : Ed Reed, Ray Lewis say Garrett overrated, puts together "simple" gameplans

Ed Reed was just on 103.3 FM ESPN in Dallas-Fort Worth and, when asked about planning for the Cowboys offense and the work of Jason Garrett, said it was "simple" and not too difficult to figure out as a defensive plaer. He said he thinks Garrett would be head coach-material, but his offense is too predictable.
This echos something said by Ray Lewis last week and similar to comments made by Cowboys players when opposing defenses would key in on particular elements of the offense and limit their success. The word is out that Garrett's offense isn't all that and that good defensive coordinators can quite easily work to shut them down.
(Slowik, though, couldn't gameplan against it in a million years. Just to be fair...)
Anyone still want Garrett (if these people exist) knowing that players around the league are criticizing the weaknesses in his offensive gameplanning?

Slowik couldn't defensive game plan his way out of a paper bag...

He should try scripting his first 15 plays.

Slo couldn't gameplan my son's 11 year old team. We need a good DC and assistants that can get our players to think like DC's
My mom could break out 200 and 2 TD's against a Slowik _efense

I will take that as a no. It was pretty bad.

I don't think many here think very highly of Garrett.

only 1 offensive minded coach does anything for me--that being Josh McDaniels. I want Spags, but Rex Ryan would be a nice choice as well.
