in a recent article, i read this..

"Please, I donít care if Colorado voted for Barack Obama, this is and will always be a Republican state. There is not going to be a black face as the head of our team. You know how they play these politics,Ē said an offensive starter who asked not to be named.

Poll coming soon..

There should only be one option in this poll, Marshall.

I put Grahan because of the context of the statement and the fact that he grew up here.

Where is the option for "quote created by agenda pushing, hack, yellow journalist Josinda Anderson"?

I picked Hamilton just because I think it's gotta be someone who's been on the team a long time.

I know our Oline talks to the media and all now, but that's a bit open and honest for Hamilton don't you think?

True, but I can't imagine anyone else saying it.

  This one gets my vote! Who is MONTROSE?? Really pushing for Morris! Skin color should be the absolute last criteria used to judge anyone, good or bad!

All you have to do is attribute something to an "anonymous source" and you can publish any lie as the truth! Remember last years primary and general elections? The news media manipulated who won those elections with good/bad press! Asked Clinton about drivers licenses for illegal aliens! Asked Obama what his favorite take out pizza was etc! Talk about getting a free ride!

My criteria would be a black guy who's spent a lot of time in Colorado. Graham's the only one that fits that bill.

Yep, you just watch, next time there is a Marshall hating thread, I guarantee, at least one post will mention this quote and refer to it as though it is just a given that it was said by Marshall, and from there it will sneak it's way into more and more posts over the years until it is just a historical fact on the Orange Mane.

I don't believe any Bronco said that. She interviewed and was obviously quoting a little chinese guy down at the cafe next to Dove Valley. This was one of the "Expense Account Quotes" made to cover the lunch expense. Thank goodness she was not on the Light Rail. Too many quotes there....

I'm in the boat of those that don't think anyone said it. It was an annonymous quote in an obvious agenda piece. Even if someone said something along those lines, they can butcher the hell out of it since they aren't putting a name to the quote. It's ridiculous

Damn you got me.

Who is MONTROSE?

I am a former College Football player/coach who grew up loving the Broncos and is trying to get his foot in the door of the NFL.

Other than that I enjoy cuddling at night, running aimlessly in circles and watching Star Wars films in my underwear while eating gummy worms.

If it isn't made up like many are suggesting, it HAS to be Graham. Playing on a team in a town you don't really care about for a period of time isn't enough to get an opinion on that state's politics. It has to be someone who lived here for a while.

Just because someone doesn't have enough for an accurate opinion, doesn't mean that they don't have an opinion to give. For proof please go to any section of the Mane, randomly place your pointer over a thread, open it, and begin reading.

I don't know who said it, but considering Colorado has a Democrat Governor, two Democrat Senators, Democrat reps outnumber Republicans 5-2 in Congress, AND they went for Obama in the presidential election... the supposition that Colorado will always be a Republican state seems a bit wobbly. And I have no idea what that has to do with Pat Bowlen hiring a black coach.

When I read the first sentence I thought of Elway. ;D

While this thread is pointless I found the article very interesting. Such as former players assessment of Morris and how he explains things to players and shows them what they are doing wrong...or right. I think this is something that has been missing on this team for awhile, primarily of course by some of the coordinators. Shall I say Burney to begin with?
