Some nice bowl wins by the Pac-10, no doubt. But it doesn't mean that much. If SC was rolling over OU or Oregon was beating Florida, then maybe you'd have a case. As is, the Pac-10 has done a nice job of saving some face here at the end.

I think SC could have taken on anyone. Their D is ridiculous and their offense is rolling. Plus Carroll is one of the best college coaches at making adjustments Ive ever seen.
When it comes down to it we're still 5-0 in the bowls, none of the other BCS conferances can boast that.

If the PAC-10 is so great, how come only one team wins it every year?

It all goes in cycle. See VT as ACC champs two times in role.
Right now USC is the powerhouse on the coast, but that eventually change and teams like Arizona and Oregon St, Oregon will soon be challenging them on more even playing field.

I'll believe it when I see it. SEVEN straight years of outright winning the conference or splitting it. I can see an Oregon taking it once in a while, but USC is heads and tails above the rest of the other decent teams in the conference. Plus the bad Pac-10 teams are really really bad.

The SEC is 5-2 even with the big disappointment of Alabama losing to 10 point underdog Utah. Either the SEC or Big 12 will come away with the National Championship again this year. (probably SEC :) )
The PAC-10 had a good postseason this year, but the reality is no other conference other than the SEC or Big 12 have multiple BCS Championships, and one of them will add to their collections again this year.
