With the recent firing of Coach Shannahan, does this position make Denver the most coveted open position currently out there in the NFL?? We have some cornerstones in place with Cutler, Clady, Marshall, Royal, and some great young players like Kuper, Sheffler, Harris just to name a few.

Here are the other open coaching jobs-
Cleveland - good young QB, LT, and decent skill positions
Detroit - 0-16, plenty of upside, but who would want this job??
NY Jets - big city, new stadium lot of pressure
KC- Herm will soon be gone, they have a lot of work to do

I think Bowlen will be able to get the pick of the litter as far as coaches. (although I think he just let the 1st in show out the back door). What do you guys think, will we get anyone we want?? Maybe i'm just being a homer thinking this is such a great opening?

NY and Denver are obviously the most attractive jobs out there, for different reasons. We'll get one of the top 2 on our list, for sure. (Whoever that may be.)

But can we afford one of those guys?!

If shanny gets hired on this year by another team which I can bet you he will, then Denver will be off the hook for his contract.

so we should be fine.

If he goes anywhere it will be Dallas or SD, other teams on the list are just to messed up.
Detroit will have no money.
Cleveland is just Brown.
The Ny Jets are losers, and have no QB.
KC, personal feeling aside, who would want to live anywhere near KC.

You are making one large assumption... that he wants a job. He can make $7M and take a year off in his new palace in Cherry Creek.

Listening to Stink on SportsCenter, he talks to Shanny quite a bit, he seems to think this guy has the drive like he did 10-20 years ago. He would be shocked if he didnt' go get another gig. He is going to be pissed off and out to prove he was wronged (al davis, has seen this story before).
