EDIT: I'd also like to pass on the nugget that when I saw I had a text from 1111 - which are my texts from the Broncos - my heart almost skipped a beat thinking I'd read about Slowik's resignation. Alas, I was wrong...

Actually, Hillis was a 7th rounder and Woodyard a UDFA, but I do think we found David Kircus and Nic Clemons from these groups in the past - and those guys did contribute in a way.

I just wonder when we would have ever got to see hillis and woodyard play if there were no injuries this year ( you just never know) until they get a shot.

i know, for the most part, they are bodies but for the spirit of an epic choke job to end the season, i found the spirit of piling on.

Very true. Obviously Hillis was playing FB for us and had a breakout game against Miami just before Torain, Pittman and Hall went down. Woodyard wouldn't have seen the field on defense as DJ was having a great season prior to his injury but he, Larsen, Niko and Haggan greatly improved our special teams units this year.

What's better, CBS or Broncos Text alerts?

Is that the list of DC's competing for the position?
Seeing this list makes me feel all fuzzy and warm

I've never gotten the CBS4 ones but I've been very happy with the Broncos ones. I always get the official word, generally before it's posted on the Broncos site or picked up by the local outlets.

that wasn't due to the players on the field, that was due to the stupidity of O'Brien's scheme wanting to keep the ball out of the Bills return man's hands.

So explain to me what a future contract is. Does this mean that they will be activated for next season?

McBean might stick. Pretty good size and decent speed...plus the Steelers drafted him in the 4th and they obviously know more about what defense than we do. If he can't make it here he can't make it anywhere.

Mitch Erickson showed some nice developmental potential in preseason playing multiple positions along the offensive line. Keep an eye on him. Also, Ryan McBean has some physical traits that could make for a nice base end. He's big, explosive, and pretty quick for his size. He was drafted in 2007 by Pittsburgh in the 4rth round. For all we know McBean could have all pro talent wasting away on the practice squad but with the likes of Slowik and his sidekick DL coach, it will probably never be developed unless/until those clowns are shown the door.

apparently Prater didn't have the leg they thought he did cause he sure didn't kick it into the endzone very often most were at the 5-10 yd line
