Interesting lists ... anybody know what spot we draft in yet? The non-playoff team's draft order should be available now.

We should pick up Matt Cassel and then throw a hissy fit when ESPN doesn't suck his dick for 17 hours of every day.

I'd much rather have Karlos Dansby then Zach Thomas.

Yeah I guess I should have prioritized my list--Dansby I feel will be the highest priced LB and if we are going to spend that kind of $$--I want us to go after BIG ALBERT/Suggs (DE/LB).

If we are motivated to get our franchise back through FA--I want Derrick Ward--if we don't, I want Jordan or Rhodes for depth

1) Haynesworth or Suggs
2) Zach Thomas --assuming that we get one of the above
3A)Vilma or Andra Davis or Bart Scott
3B) Jermaine Phillips, Oshio Atogwe or Yeremiah Bell
4) Mike Brown--incentive laden contract
5) Miles Austin or Devery Henderson or Nate Washington
6) Chris Canty or Shaun Cody or John thornton
7) Tank Johnson
8) lorenzo neal
9) Grossman or Boller.

Now THAT'S encouraging! That's nearly in the Brian Orakpo range ... although by the time he's finished at the combine his stock will probably skyrocket. #12 is certainly close enough to snare Rey Maualuga or Brandon Spikes. Maualuga could be a Patrick Willis-Al Wilson type player.

In free agency, I prefer going for a safety because that position is not the budget-busting position LB or DE is. Yeremiah Bell is a good choice, but I like Oshiomughu Atogwe, a young Ed Reed-like playmaker. And the Rams are just scewed up enough to not pay him.

I really prefer Spikes, because like big Al Wilson, he played as the center of the defense on an SEC championship winning team. It's SEC bias for sure but I would be happy either way. Seeing us pickup a guy like Zach Thomas to mentor either one for a year or so would be a wise move IMHO too.

There is zero chance that Peppers hits the open market. The franchise tag will hit him so quickly, he will think that he has been kissed by a train. Haynesworth might hit the open market, and there is a lot of chance that we are aggressive and go after him.

Karlos Dansby like how he plays, but the Cards may lock him up.

Matt Stover would be a huge upgrade!

Chris Canty...drools on desk... but the Cowboys will lock him up.

Brandon Jacobs...it's a pipe dream...more than likely drafting a RB round two.

Correll Buckhalter could be the next Micheal Turner.

Charlie Batch a professional that knows his role and could help Jay take the next step.

Wont be easy for them to clear the room for that $17m tag considering they only have 1/2 that as we stand for 2009.

I feel we need to go after a few things in the Free Agent Market.

1st. MLB. My top 5.

1.) MLB 1 Ray Lewis UFA 13 6-1/245 Miami (FL) Baltimore Now I don't know why he isn't on everybodies list to get. Is it morality? Whatever the case, he will be out there because between Lewis and Suggs they keep Suggs.

2.) MLB 3 Jonathan Vilma UFA 5 6-1/230 Miami (FL) New Orleans Chance to reunite the "U" LB. Also the last big name on a short list of MLB.

3.) MLB 5 Channing Crowder UFA 4 6-2/247 Florida Miami Was part of a couple of bad Miami teams but also part of the turnaround.

4.) MLB 4 Mike Peterson UFA 10 6-1/235 Florida Jacksonville Been part of a good defense for a long time.

5.) MLB 2 Karlos Dansby UFA 5 6-4/240 Auburn Arizona Young guy with ability.

Top 5 S's I'd like.

1.) S NR Mike Brown UFA 9 5-10/207 Nebraska Chicago Solid starter for the bears.

2.) S NR Jermaine Phillips UFA 7 6-1/214 Georgia Tampa Bay

3.)S NR Oshiomogho Atogwe UFA 4 5-11/210 Stanford

4.) S NR Chris Crocker UFA 6 5-11/192 Marshall Wanted him when Lynch left.

5.) S NR Rodney Harrison UFA 15 6-1/218

Top 5 DT

1.) DT 1 Albert Haynesworth UFA 7 6-5/320 Weather we get him or not list must begin with him.

2.) DE NR Chris Canty UFA 4 6-7/300 3-4 DE can become 4-3 DT real easy.

3.) DT 9 Shaun Cody UFA 4 6-3/290 USC

4.) DT 5 Tank Johnson UFA 5 6-3/300

5.) DT 10 Darwin Walker UFA 9 6-3/294
5b.) DT 3 Jovan Haye UFA 4 6-2/295 Vanderbilt

Top 3 DE

1.) DE NR Julius Peppers UFA 7 6-7/283 Another list that must begin with this name.

2.) DE NR Terrell Suggs UFA 6 6-3/260 It should be 1 and 1a but who ever we get attention must be paid to the D-line.

3.) DE NR Kenechi Udeze UFA 5 6-3/281 former 1st rounder

Lewis is a ****ing criminal.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Shanahan go after Suggs. Rumors were all around that he seriously tried to trade up for him in the draft and couldn't swing a deal.

IMO, these three moves would put the Broncos in contention next year.

1. Haynesworth
2. Brandon Jacobs
3. Draft Rey Maualuga

Of course, I doubt these guys are cerebral enough for Slowitz. ;D

Kenechi Udeze is IR because of cancer, he most likely isn't playing again. The link/list is alright but I have feeling it out dated.

I think a combo of Hillis and Jacobs would be brutal. Especially in the fourth quarter at altitude.

Jacobs seems to get dinged up quite a bit and others have stated it is because he is so tall, his legs take a real beating--I'd rather have Ward to go with Hillis.

3A)Vilma or Andra Davis or Bart Scott - no to Vilma, I really like Davis and Scott Baltimore has to resign him. We might be able to get Davis if he falls through the cracks with new HC in Cleveland.
4) Mike Brown--incentive laden contract He will only play 8 games a year move on.
6) Chris Canty or Shaun Cody or John thornton - Their teams will resign
7) Tank Johnson - which TJ again?
8) lorenzo neal - Too old
9) Grossman = Plummer, No thanks would rather keep Ramsey.

Jason Hanson from the Lions...we need him to shore up the kicking game...I also like the thought of bringing ward in as our primary back, he could have an impact similar to Turner with Atlanta. Draft the best defensive player available, and see if we can grab a return specialist like sproles or draft one in the 3rd round or so...

Miles Austin would be great. Went to school down the road at Monmouth from me. Has all of their recieving records. Good return guy.

I'd love Ward to go along with Hillis, but our major priority should be S and DE (suggs)

These guys catch my eye some - Shaun McDonald, Clark Haggans, Gabe Watson, Michael Boley, Dawan Landry, Bart Scott, Angelo Crowell, Keith Ellison, Jabari Greer, Chris Gamble, Darwin Walker, Chris Canty, Atari Bigby (RFA), Keiwan Ratliff, Gerald Sensabaugh, Jarrad Page (RFA), Channing Crowder, Andre Goodman, Benny Sapp, Jerome McDougle, Asomugha, Ricky Manning, Will Allen.

I'd be evaluating this bunch and hoping I made the right pick of four-five of them.

I'd love to have Suggs too. But Suggs is a 6th year pro on the up side of his career amd Lewis is in his 13th year. Who do you think is going to get the big contract?

As far as Lewis being a criminal. He was cleared by a jury of his peers. And to this day I don't know exactly what he did. But that list I made. Its a very short list made from a small talent pool and if your going to start throwing out canidates based on something that has already investgated then you have to ask yourself if you really want to win.
