3-0 is a lot different from 8-1.
Chargers.

Hell, TB had a worse collapse than DEN THIS YEAR! 9-3, leading division then loses 4 straight when one win would have been enough for the playoffs.

Yep, as bad as we have it as Bronco fans, it could always be worse. We could have been the 0-16 lions, but then we would have had 16 Sundays to do other fun stuff rather then watch your team lose.

Man, NYJ had it just as Bad as well and they fired Mangini for teasing them with Superbowl hopes. 1-4 down the stretch as DEN started their unraveling.

WOW......
that was a strike season, and how many of those Games were won by our scabs?
Your trying mighty hard to find something to make you feel better. This one is not the Answer.

Sparkies, for sure. No team really was a bad as the sparkies for so long. While they get the Division this year because of tie breaking rules, they did just tie Denver for the best record in the Division. Nah, for not haveing a D ar all most of the year, I think the Broncos did okay. Could have been better......
Not saying much, but there it is......

Can I switch to Baseball? How bout the yankees blowing a 3-0 lead in the ALCS to their Rival Boston? They had many opportunties to close that out. Plus its a much bigger rivalry than DEN vs SD.
And yes, I am trying desperately for something to make me feel better. I try to stay positive by finding things and saying "it could have been worse".
its kinda like when you think you are broke and have no money, but then see a homeless person and you realize how good you have it. It normally makes me feel better, and I am trying to do that with the Broncos for personally health and less stress.

87 Chargers lost Fouts for 4 games that was HUGE. That would be like Indy losing Manning.

No problem, I feel your pain as I have been there done that.
Are you guys of the mind set where you want to blow up the entire Coaching staff? Last month I felt the same way with Norv and our entire staff.
What happened to your Running Backs?
It always seemed like when ever we played you, you guys always had a great runningback that always killed us. And it seemed like when one left, there was another one just licking his chops waiting to get into the game. Your whole offense was created around the running game, and you only had to pass to keep the teams honest.
Now that you have no running game, you have to rely on Cutler, and I am sorry, he isnt the answer.

Or the Cowboys losing Romo for 4 games?
Or the Broncos losing 7 RB's to IR and having to abandon the Run and change style of offense game to game based on who they sign from Verizon Wireless Cellular store that week.

It's not as bad because no one expected us to do any better than we did. Teams like the Cowboys were picked to win the Super Bowl this year. We were picked to win 7-9 games and we did. It looks bad because of the lead we had, and rightfully so. But I don't feel like this was as historic as people are making it out to be.

The Cowboys have 14 pro bowlers.....that kind of team can handle that.

The Chargers losing Fouts is nothing compared to Manning or the Broncos losing 7 rb's!!!!! We are historically a running team in case you haven't noticed because your dumb#%* is so far up Rivers backside all you see is S*#*!
Have fun and good luck in the playoffs, we'll be back

You bring a great point. Even the great Elway didnt win a Superbowl until he had a great run game. People dont realize how important the run game is. If we would have had Peyton Hillis for a couple more games, it would have been different. We would have ran more I formation and single back. Then teams would have had to line up to stop the run, then we could Playaction and succeed. Just like Rivers did to the Broncos last night. Many of Rivers WR's were open due to great run game and play action. No matter how great a QB is, he wont get it done without an at least average run game.

Looks like they handled it well. What did they finish again? Playoffs? Got spanked yesterday just like the Broncos when the playoffs were on the line. (thats with Romo)

That was the point of my thread. I am glad to see I got one on my side.
