Speaking as a fan and not an imaginary expert, and a stiff middle finger to your 100 post rule:
2006: Finished 9-7 and at least took the game into overtime and it wasn't a division rival. Took a while for that one to set in.
2007: Yeah 7-9 but at least they knocked the Vikings out of the playoffs or helped knock them out. They played a solid game and we had some hope going into the offseason.
2008: Choke of historical proportions. 3 game lead with 3 games left and losing the last 3 to piss away the playoffs, ending with a blowout loss to a division rival with a losing record.

I've been on the fence about Shanahan for the last few years and still don't know but I fear something is wrong with this organization that won't be fixed with a new DC or GM. Next year could be the real beginning of the rebuilding.
Just sharing my pain.

Again, maybe we'll improve next year... but it won't be because these last two years have been part of any "grand plan," or any plan at all.

Shanahan will either either pull his head out or he won't.

The defense needs a major rebuilding from the top to the bottom. Shanny needs to remove old friends that cannot put a competitive team on the field in must win situations.
