Its very hard to kill the offense when you keep losing your halfbacks. The OL is terrific but without a dependable back, you cannot control the game.

Still though as bad as our defense has played at times the Offense has been the one turning the ball over. The defense also hasn't been getting turnovers either

This is another way of saying that the offense has to be perfect every week because the defense will never bail them out.

We do have the 3rd most giveaways in the league, but by far the fewest takeaways (13). The next worst team has 17 takeaways. So, i would say its an all around failure.

Unstable and inconsistent D, a ST unit that seems to get lost running from the 25 yard line to midfield, and an O that is running at half speed because of the unbelievable nunmber of injuries to the RB position? Is that what you are saying?
What else is new?

If anything, the defense gets credit for being consistent. I know what I'm going to get every week with almost zero question marks. It's the offense that gives this team their best opportunities.

The offense knows what they're going to get from their defense as well, which means they feel like they have to score on every possession which leads to taking too many chances and too many TOs.

It's totally the Offense's fault. In games we didn't score at least 30 points this year we lost. That means it's the offense's fault!:troll:

i think Tatum and Boyd get the most touches out of the RB's. but it would not surprise me to see Jay run the most on Sunday. Royal and Marshall will also probably get a few end arounds. no one on the team will have more than 8 carries.

Yes...the only unit that has shown any signs of greatness. It's all their fault.
Our offense has not had excessive turnovers. We've had more than we'd like of course but it has not been excessive. You wouldn't know that by the turnover ratio though. Our defense does not get turnovers. It does not force punts. The only good thing about our defense is that they don't make drives last longer than five or six minutes so we can get the ball back.

how about
Kansas City
turnovers cost the Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium.
Jacksonville
The first play after the forced fumble Cutler was hit as he scrambled, fumbling the ball near midfield -- the turnover lead to a Jacksonville field goal. On the Broncos next offensive series, Cutler's pass intended for Brandon Marshall was intercepted at the Jacksonville 6-yard line. After a Jacksonville punt, the Broncos were again closing in a score when Marshall fumbled a short pass from Cutler at the Jacksonville 7-yard line - that turnover lead to a Jacksonville touchdown.
New England
Jay Cutler injured his finger on the first offensive play of the game, Champ Bailey sat out the second half, the Broncos lost three fumbles and threw two interceptions and the Patriots took advantage of it all -- winning 41-7 on Monday Night Football.
Miami
Penalties, turnovers and a stout Miami defense doomed the Broncos
Bills
then mistakes and missed opportunities opened the door for the Bills to come back into
the game.

Nonsense, our offense is fine. We are # 2 in yards, and #7 in the AFC for scoring. All teams turn the ball over. Our problem is that we don't offset our turnovers with takeaways. Our defense is terrible at pressuring the QB, thanks to mr. no-blitz Slowik.
We are even tied with some of the top teams for ints and for fumbles. Titans have 17 fumbles just like us. The difference is that their defense actually gets turnovers. They are +14 in turnovers. We are -15.
Interceptions: we are second to LAST with 6,versus the #1 team which has 24.
If our defense was playing even an average game, our offense would be fine. You are mistaking our turnovers as a weakness. The real weakness is our defense's inability get them.
It's simple: Our games by a large margin, are decided back lack of turnovers. We rarely pressure the opposing QB. Our corners play some 8 or more yards of their receivers. Almost ALL our problems are defensive in nature. Hell, considering the # of injuries our offense has had, they are doing amazing this year.

The offense hasn't been perfect, but they've been good for the most part. They've put the defense in some tough spots. But the D has put them in even worse spots by not stopping anybody, and rarely forcing a turnover. The D has been bad for the most part. If they were decent then the offense making mistakes wouldn't kill the team.
Even when the offense is playing well the D still sucks. At some point the D has to step up and win a game. Can't rely on the offense all the time.

So the defense showed up three times all year, out of 15 games. Yeah, lets pat them on the back and blame the offense.

The defense is average.
The offense is good not great but good.
If they could keep a running back they could be very good….I expect they will be great .
I agree with Pendejo that the Chargers are overrated.
Our defense is good enough to do the job….unless the offense has more then two turnovers.
I expect the Broncos will win…….I always expect the Broncos will win.

The defense is near the bottom in every category. You don't even need to look at the stats, just watch the games. They suck. It's silly to say that they are average. If they were average the Broncos would already have the division locked up. The defense is horrible. Been that way since mid season in '06.

We've lost almost every game where we had a negative turnover ratio, and almost won every game where we've had a positive one. It's not rocket science to see the problem.
Again, all teams make turnovers. The winning teams also get turnovers. We are not getting them.

The Broncos only have 13 take aways, which is last in the league. There are a few teams with 17. Most of the league has over 20.
I guess we should blame that on the offense too.
This thread is really dumb.
Jason in LA

Why the hell can't the offense score every drive. They are making the defense look bad.
On the real, the D has given up three long scoring drives, while the offense hasn't turned over the ball. The D is horrible all by themselves, and this was a dumb thread.
Now the Broncos have to pass the ball every down, which could, and probably will, lead to turnovers.
