Should the Broncos loose ugly---by getting blown out or just flat out laying an egg and loosing to SD, thus giving up a 3 game lead in the AFC west and getting knocked out of the playoffs! How does the loose translate into the offseason, training camp, and the pre-season????

The players, coaches, and Shanahan could use this scenario as a rallying point for the off season, training camp, and the pre-season for next year.

Imagine Shanahan starting every film session with the teams overall performance with next Sundays game with the Chargers!! And pointing out and isolating all the players who played like crap!

To followup, Shanahan needs to institute full contact hitting in the morning and in the evening once training camp and the pre-season starts. What would be the outcome? I think the players who complained would be the same players who notoriously quit and under perform for Denver every year (Especially in November and December). Shanahan needs to expose these complaining players early (Before the Season starts). Challenge their pride, their hearts, and their perseverance in the SUMMER. Its too late to challenge these players in Late December!!!!

As far as the threat of injuries b/c you have two days of full contact drills and plays----thats the calculated risk that will need to be taken. Do you want injured players in Training Camp during the June-July time period, or injured players in November and December??

Anyway, with a boot camp like training camp and preseason, you can best bet the 53 players who survive will go into the season with some toughness, discipline, perseverance, and a FREAK-IN MEAN STREAK!!. In other words, the goal should be to field 22 starters who have the enthusiasm for the game like Champ, Woodyard and Hillis! Just to name a few.

Come on Mike Shanahan, if you're tired of your teams breaking down and quitting on you every year, look yourself in the mirror and say ENOUGH!!!! In 2009, only Bronco Warriors will make the 53 man roster!!!

Boy talking about changing the Club Med Atmosphere......this is where it starts.

Finally, Coach Shanahan, you have got to find a way to bring back the winning attitudes and atomosphere of your 96, 97, and 98 Broncos teams. Invite back the players from those teams to speak, inspire and teach the 2009 Bronco players what it means to play as consumate professionals and to be WINNERS!!!!

Ask Elway to mentor Cutler during the off season and go over film and to improve Cutlers ability to let the game come to him (and to stop locking onto one Receiver!!). Bring back Romanawski and Al Wilson to mentor and to light a fire under the linebacking corp!! Bring back Steve Atwater to mentor and light a fire under the Safeties! Bring back Rod Smith to mentor the WR's from an NFL players perspective!!!

What perspective do all these aforementioned players bring to the table?? They bring a players perspective of what it takes to play in the NFL as well as a CHAMPION's perspective to win at the NFL level.

I don't know who the Defensive line coaches are for the Broncos.....but if Shanahan doesn't have any D line asst. coaches who played the game at a high level, this might explain why the players on the D line perform the way they do.

Simply put, Shanahan has surrounded himself with coaches who never played in the NFL at a high level, who do not know the game from a hands on NFL experience and who just know and teach the game from an X's and O's theory/perspectives only.

Coach Shanahan.....this is not the 90's anymore, stop stealing (your salary) from Bowlen and taking him for granted, and start thinking outside the box to bring the fans and Bowlen more 12-4 or betters seasons and a few more Super Bowl appearances and victories over the next 5 to 10 years.

Shanahan is not that type of leader, would NEVER happen. That is why half the board is calling for his head because they feel a new culture should be instilled in the Broncos organization.

elway is not a football player anymore. i highly dubt he has the ability to coach at an NFL level. he has been out of football for a decade, why would we want him back?

Loose = not tight, as in "This bolt seems loose" and "let's keep things loose out there."

Lose = Failure to win, as in "We better not lose today" and "The Broncos couldn't lose but found a way to do so anyway."

Loss = The product of losing something/someone, as in "The stocks took another devastating loss today" and "How does the loss translate into the offseason, training camp, and the pre-season?"

Part of the reason Why I wouldn't mind if Shanny hired Marinelli as DC. Put an ex-marine in charge of that D...™ ;D

I disagree, Elway may have been out of football for 10 years, however you never loose your knowledge of how the game is played. On a consultantcy basis and a mentorship just to reveiw game film Elway could give Cutler a perspective that Shanahan and his current coaches may not be able to give him. Again, I'm talking about Elway being a full-time QB coach.
