Sadly, that pic resembles what the Chargers are going to do to us.......with an industrial grade sandpaper condom to boot.
Yet, we have people here attempting to talk smack and playing stupid avatar games when we just got our dicks stomped on by another high school team at home...again.
I wonder if we'll be stupid enough to be playing games and running our mouths after we get assraped next week?
If you want an answer, the answer is Yes, because playing little games is all you can do while sitting on the couch.

Big deal. Two years from now, nobody will give a **** who won the AFC Worst title in 2008.

What's worse? Broncos dropping a three game lead or the Lions going 0-16?

The Chargers have new life and all the momentum. I think we're going to be running into a buzzsaw.

Yep, the Chargers have actually been playing good laterly...like they are playing to make sure they win and have a chance at the playoffs. The Broncos on the other hand are just hoping the Chargers lose. Our Special Teams were plain horrible today(giving the ball to the Bills on the 50 yard line)....and our D...yep, the Chargers are going to score 50 on our D.
we either get embarrassed by the Chuggers or by the Colts a little while later
win ****ing win
Denver Broncos +9.5 @ San Diego Chargers

True, but they were written off for dead while we were being annointed. They got down to business and got it done and we didn't.
The Chargers right now are like Anton from No Country for Old Men. We can't stop what's coming.

Plus, the chargers played good TODAY. Everyone talks about them playing good "lately," but ask charger fans, i dont think they were proud of that KC performance.
Having said that, i dont think we'll win.

Are the chargers really favored by over a TD?
lazarus4444
12-21-2008, 09:31 PM
It'll probably be +14.5 by kickoff next sunday night, lol. I would probably make that bet if i was a gambling man. Here is the likely script....Chargers score at will the first two drives with touchdowns. Cutler gets frusterated and starts moping and the whole team packs it in by the end of the first half.

Chargers 13-0 run in December - since the game where Brees got his arm broken off against the Broncos
Going to play their 8th game under Ron Rivera's defensive guidance. This is not the same confused Chargers defense that Cutler and Marshall abused in Week 2. (18 catches!!! They were on fire!)
Its Cutler, Marshall and Royal against the Chargers. At night, in the Chargers yard, with them playing to prove they deserve it. Cutler is going to have to throw for 4 or 5 TD's to win - which is possible, but unlikely.
Take the Chargers and give the points. They've covered more often than not this year.

Madden doesn't talk about the game even when it's close...It's fun to listen to him slowly lose his mental faculties in front of the nation every week. Pretty soon he'll be talking about smoked sausage and the ballet while using the telestrator to play hangman.

Not happy about the schedule change... because now the Broncos game is in direct conflict (at the exact same time) as our daughter's last Cantata performance. So do I go and support my child or watch football? (rhetorical question :P). Guess I'll record the game for later viewing.

Honestly, I don't think the Broncos are choking away anything. Teams "choke" when they could be doing better, but fail.
The fact is that this team just isn't very talented. There's no running game (apart from gadget plays) so everything is loaded on the backs of a few young guys in the passing game.
Special teams are erratic.
The defense has no pass rush and alternates between being soft and confused. It is, in fact, one of the weakest defenses in the entire NFL. Bottom Five in almost every category.
They aren't choking. They just are what they are.

When you have a home game against a team that has lost 7 of 8 , with that only victory being against KC, without it's top offensive threat for 1/2 of the game(lynch)--and all you have to do is win that game and you don't--you choked.

the broncos lost to the chiefs, jags, and raiders for a reason before 'choking' to the bills.

Chargers win, then beat the Colts. Rivers is the media darling as they come back from dead to face the Mighty Steelers. LT finally shows up for a game and everyone who picked them in the preseason will revisit thier pick and gloat about how they never counted them out.

The difference being that they had a PLAYOFF SPOT to play for this past Sunday, there was more at stake than was the case in previous losses--hence the term 'choke'. l
-leading 13-0 against a team that had lost 7 of 8
--13-3 with 3minutes to go in the 1st half against a team that had lost 7 of 8 without it's top offensive weapon, with a QB who was coming off of a groin injury and had missed the previous 2.5 games.......

A team that had lost 7 of 8 and was playing without it's top running back for 1/2 the game and it's top DE for the enitre game is better than a team that was 8-6 and playing at home with the #2 offense (yards)for a chance to make the playoffs by simply getting one win. Interesting. You have no grasp of context apparently.

If this were true, then why should the players even bother getting on the plane? Seriously, on paper, KC... Oakland... and even Buffalo... were heavy underdogs going into their games against the Broncos. Their fans could have said "Us fans and even worse the players know that we can't beat Denver"... but is that what happened on the field? No, it's not. And that's why they actually play the games.

There is no comparison between this game and those games. None. For both teams this is do or die against a hated division rival. The revenge minded chargers aren't going to overlook us like those teams did.

We **NEED** a runner who won't just gaston green it, and fall down with the slightest bit of contact...
If need be, pull up CC from the practice squad... it can't be any worse than what we have right now... and we know what we have right now does work...
That is, unless some prayers are answered and Pope is good to go for next week...

Three or four weeks ago, that might have been true. Then Hillis got hurt. There went the running game my friend. Well, maybe Pope could have done something, but he was hurt too. Tatum is out of shape and a non factor. That's why our biggest runs were all QB keepers or gadget plays.
We have no healthy, legitmate RB on this team. Buffalo's RBs are better than ours even if we were healthy, which we aren't.
Who is better: Edwards or Cutler? Almost certainly Cutler. Whose better? Cutler with pressure or Edwards with none?
There's no pass rush. There hasn't been one all year.
Buffalo has Stroud. Who have we got? Nobody.
Buffalo has far bettter special teams - - in fact they are one of the best units in the league.
They have better linebackers. They smack people and force turnovers and recover them. We have guys who prance around after making a stop for a 6 yard gain.
Do you even want to talk about the safeties?
The Broncos were schooled by the Raiders, one of the worst teams in the league. We barely beat 2-13 KC at home. Carolina blew Denver away.
The Broncos are, at best, an average team right now ... below average with all the injuries.
