What do you think....in one of my money leagues I have MJD, Chris Johnson, and Steve Slaton.

I can start 2.

The point scoring is different in this league.

1 point for every 15 yards rushing or receiving.

1 point for every reception.

6 points for every TD.

1 point for every 25 return yards.

I think MJD has to start for me....he catches a lot of passes and returns kicks....plus Fred Taylor is out for the year and GB has a crappy defense.

Not sure about the second RB though. I have Chris Johnson in, but he splits carries, and Steve Slaton gets most of the carries for Houston. Receptions are big in this league and Johnson has 39 catches and Slaton has 37 receptions. Slaton is going against the tougher defense in Tennessee.

You think it's that easy?

You better do a little more research.

Chris Johnson: 1094 yards rushing and 8 TDs on the year. 39 catches for 257 yards and a TD receiving.

Steve Slaton:1024 yards rushing and 8 TDs on the year. 37 catches for 290 yards and a TD receiving.

Chris Johnson has actually had the better year in terms of fantasy points and Slaton is going against one of the best defenses in the NFL this week in Tennessee.

Yeah, you're right, I should do research, although those stats tell me nothing.... Whatever, play Johnson if you like.

I don't feel like typing out an essay to explain why Slaton is the better play, it's obvious.

Gee....thanks for the advice.

You were condescending in your first reply to the question, then when I put up stats indicating that the decision was not that easy, you get pissy.

So much for a little fun debate.

Stats prove my argument explicitly. You just arn't looking at them right.

Slaton has played well as of late....against some dog defenses.

He did have a good game against Tennessee earlier in the year.

Chris Johnson has had a few good games as of late....against some dog defenses.

However....the Titans only gave up 35 and 23 yards rushing in their last 2 games.

Ok breakdown. Your league gives REDICULOUS points for receptions. Slaton will be on the team thats behind (unless he does damage early, in which case they'll be leading). When they're behind he's one of their best targets against a stout Tennessee pass D. Thus he will rack up lots of checkdowns. Also, Tennessee has nothing to play for.

I think Houston is going to play them very tough.

Tennessee is still playing for home field advantage in the playoffs.

You make some valid points though.

DeAngelo Williams has had an impressive 5 or 6 game stretch.

It's about time he lived up to the potential he showed at Memphis.
